Flagyl pessaries belong to the group of anti-infective imidazole derivatives that are for topical use.

What it is used for
This medicine is indicated for topical treatment of some vaginal infections:

vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis;
non-specific vaginitis.

2. BEFORE USING Flagyl
Do not use Flagyl Pesari:

if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to metronidazole, to any of the other ingredients or other medicinal products including imidazole derivatives.
In general, this medicine should not be used in combination with disulfiram unless it is recommended by your doctor.

If you think any of these conditions apply to you or if you have any doubts, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Pelagic Pill.

Take special care with the use of Piglizer Pesari
The use of Flagyll pessaries for long-term treatment should be carefully considered by your doctor.

You should check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use our medicine.
The treatment with Flazil Pesari should not be prescribed for more than 10 days and should not be given more often than 2 to 3 times a year.
If you notice that you have poor coordination of your volition, dizziness, mental confusion or stasis, you should stop treatment and consult your doctor. You should be careful with this medicine if you have severe, chronic or progressive diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system.
If you think any of these conditions apply to you or if you have any doubts, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Pelagic Pill.

Precautions
In case of blood disorders, high dose and / or prolonged treatment. Your doctor may appoint regular blood tests, especially for white blood cells. In case of prolonged treatment, it is important to tell your doctor if nerve disorders (tingling, difficult coordination of movements, dizziness, convulsions) occur. During treatment, you may experience reddish-brown urine coloring, which is not a disturbing symptom.
Flag pessaries should be used with caution in patients with hepatic encephalopathy. Concomitant administration of pessaries and the use of a condom or diaphragm increases the risk of tearing of the latex material.

Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription
You should not use Pelagic Pesari together with disulfiram, alcohol, and alcohol-containing medicines. Pelagic pessaries may also interact with the following medicines: oral anticoagulants medicines (prothrombin time should be monitored and if necessary anticoagulant therapy adjusted due to increased bleeding risk), lithium and ciclosporin (their levels should be monitored as may be increased), phenytoin and phenobarbital (decreases in metronidazole levels), 5-fluorouracil (to be monitored for toxicity, as clearance may decrease), busulfan (may result in busulfan toxicity).
Taking this medicine may affect the results of some laboratory tests (Treponema test) and give a false negative TPI test.

Use of Beer Pesari with Food and Drinks
It is not recommended to use alcohol during treatment and at least 24 hours after the end of treatment due to the risk of developing a disulfurim-like reaction (eg redness, hot flushes, vomiting and increased heart rate).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant.
Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding or intend to breast-feed.
If you have been advised by your doctor or pharmacist, you may be given pessary beetles if necessary during pregnancy.
