Ingredients: 5-hydroxytryptophan - 100 mg.

Each Neolexan tablet contains: 100 mg. 5-hydroxytryptophan.
The other ingredients of the tablet are: Microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, film.

1. WHAT IS 5-HYDROXYTYPTOPHANE (5-HTP)
5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is a substance that is formed in the human body by the essential amino acid tryptophan that comes into the body through food.
In the brain, 5-hydroxytryptophan, in turn, turns into serotonin, a substance that transmits nerve impulses between brain cells.
Serotonin is also known as "the hormone of happiness".
Additional administration of 5-hydroxytryptophan in tablet form increases serotonin levels in the brain and thus adversely affects conditions associated with low serotonin levels without causing side effects, unlike other drugs intended for these conditions.

2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Conditions caused by low serotonin levels are:
1.1. Depression
Depression is a condition requiring specialized medical care and is different from the known "lack of mood" and "feeling of depression". Depression is characterized by a lack of interest in daily activities, lack of energy and concentration, feeling of helplessness, hopelessness and sadness, uselessness and inadequacy, poor sleep, decreased sexual activity, significant weight gain or weight loss, fatigue, headache, etc. .
Depression is not a weakness of character and is not the fault of the patient. It can be treated. Depression is caused by a combination of 3 factors - genetic predisposition, surrounding environment, and imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Of the chemicals most important is serotonin, which is greatly reduced in depression.

1.2. Insomnia
After a good sleep, one feels fresh and rested. This does not always depend on the duration of sleep, but on its quality. Sleep problems also have a different background, but they are ultimately due to a disturbed balance of chemicals in the brain. The primary substance on which the onset and duration of sleep is dependent is melatonin, but the levels of melatonin in the brain and the sensitivity of brain structures to melatonin are determined by serotonin levels.
Serotonin plays a decisive role in the quality of sleep. At high serotonin levels, phases of deep sleep are extended, thanks to which the brain recovers, and one feels fresh and rested at the expense of less important preparatory phases of sleep. While melatonin-containing preparations have a known effect in older patients whose melatonin levels are low, younger people experience insomnia and poor sleep to a much greater extent than serotonin and 5-hydroxytryptophane levels, respectively.

1.3. Anxiety and anxiety
The states of anxiety and anxiety are also due to low levels of serotonin, therefore, by increasing its levels, these conditions improve significantly until their disappearance.

1.4. Migraine and headache
Chronic headaches, especially migraine, are thought to be the result of low levels of serotonin, most likely due to increased brain degradation.
Taking 5-hydroxytryptophane increases the production of serotonin from the body and thus reduces the sensitivity to pain. 5-hydroxytryptophan reduces the number, strength and intensity of seizures in chronic headache and migraine by over 70%.

1.5. Obesity
During diets, levels of tryptophan in the blood and serotonin levels in the brain drop significantly. These low levels of serotonin in obese patients cause a strong desire for carbohydrates, especially sweet and subsequent overeating.
Taking 5-hydroxytryptophan during and after a diet increases serotonin levels, leading to earlier satiety, easier dietary compliance, lack of overeating and weight loss.

1.6. Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by fatigue, pain in the muscles, joints and tendons, multiple points of increased sensitivity in the body, usually accompanied by low levels of serotonin.
The use of 5-hydroxytryptophan improves and helps to control the symptoms of fibromyalgia in the absence of side effects.

1.7. Bad habits
By refraining from harmful habits such as excessive use of alcohol, smoking, etc., maintaining adequate levels of serotonin by taking 5-hydroxytryptophan helps to ease and meet the limitations and performance of daily activities in the absence of harmful habits.

3. WHO IS INTENDED FOR NEOLLEXAN?
Neolexan is intended for people suffering from conditions associated with decreased serotonin levels, as well as for people who are on dieting and / or who refuse harmful habits such as smoking, alcohol, and others.

7. HOW NEOLEXAN IS TO BE ACCEPTED

For insomnia, 1 to 6 tablets are recommended once 30-45 minutes before bedtime. Because some patients may experience mild nausea when taking neoleksan for the first time, it is recommended to start with one tablet at bedtime and the dose gradually increased if needed.
If neolexan is taken during a diet to lose weight, it is recommended to take 1 tablet 20 minutes before a meal.
Do not stop taking the medicine once you feel better without consulting your doctor.
