VICETIN WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Vicetin has brain-protective effect. Improves metabolic processes, significantly increases the resistance of brain cells to lack of oxygen. Improves cerebral circulation and oxygen transport to the tissues, reducing disease increases blood viscosity and peripheral vascular resistance. Not significantly affect blood pressure. Removes dizziness, stimulates brain activity, improves hearing, eyesight and memory.
It is used to treat various forms of ischemic attack (post-stroke), dementia of vascular origin (memory impairment), cerebral arteriosclerosis, cerebral trauma disorders and high blood pressure. Used to reduce mental and neurological symptoms in disorders of cerebral circulation in vascular disorders of ocular vascular sheath of the retina and choroid; vertigo, hearing loss from different backgrounds, ringing in the ears; for treatment of vasovagal symptoms in climacteric syndrome.
2. BEFORE YOU USE VICETIN
Do not use Vicetin
• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance, to the alkaloids of the plant Vinca minor (vinblastine, vincristine) or any of the excipients;
• if you are pregnant or breast-feeding;
• use in children is contraindicated.
Take special care with Vicetin
• ECG monitoring is required if you have heart disease with abnormal electrocardiogram, and treatment with drugs that alter ECG.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
You should tell your doctor if you are taking a medicine containing alpha-methyldopa (medicine to lower high blood pressure), drugs affecting the central nervous system, anticoagulants (drugs prevent the formation of blood clots) or antiarrhythmics (medicines used to infringements heart rhythm). To date there are no known clinically significant interactions with other drugs Vicetin.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Vicetin treatment during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Driving and using machines
Vicetin not affect your ability to drive and use machines.
Vicetin not adversely affect alertness and reactions.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Vicetin
Vicetin tablets 5 mg and 10 contain lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
Vicetin tablets 5 mg and 10 as an excipient contains wheat starch. Vicetin is suitable for people with celiac disease (gluten enteropathy). Patients with wheat allergy (different from celiac disease) should not take this product.
3. HOW TO USE VICETIN
Always use Vicetin exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual daily dose is 5-10 mg, 3 times daily. Tablets are taken after meals with sufficient water. The maximum daily dose is 30 mg. The maintenance dose is 10-15 mg daily. Treatment is long (months, years) and is determined by the attending physician.
Patients with kidney or liver disease
There is no need for dosage adjustment in patients with renal and hepatic disease.
If you take more dose Vicetin
If you take the dose more than prescribed, talk to your doctor. No cases of overdose with Vicetin.
If you forget to take Vicetin
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If almost time for your next dose, take it as normal, with skip the dose you forgot. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Continue to take your medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
If you stop taking Vicetin
Do not interrupt treatment Vicetin without consulting your doctor.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Vicetin can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Adverse reactions during treatment with Vicetin very rarely, are transient and do not require discontinuation of treatment.
Gastrointestinal Disorders
• Uncommon: abdominal discomfort, dry mouth, nausea; rare: abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, vomiting; very rare: dysphagia, stomatitis.
cardiac disorders
• Rare: myocardial ischemia / infarction (heart attack), angina (chest pain), speeding up or slowing heartbeat, palpitations;
• Very rare: arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation.
vascular disorders
• Uncommon: lowering blood pressure;
• Rare: increased blood pressure, thrombophlebitis.
Immune system disorders
• Very rare: hypersensitivity (allergy).
Blood and lymphatic system
• Rare: leukopenia (decrease in white blood cells), thrombocytopenia (reduced platelet count);
• Very rare: anemia, clumping of red blood cells.
Metabolism and nutrition
• Uncommon: increased cholesterol; rare: anorexia, diabetes mellitus.
Psychiatric disorders
• Rare: sleep disturbances, agitation, anxiety; very rare upbeat mood, depression.
Nervous System Disorders
• Uncommon: headache; rare: dizziness, taste disturbance, numbness, partial unilateral paresis, lethargy, changes in memory; very rare: tremors, seizures.
eye Disorders
• Rare: papilloedema; very rare: redness of the conjunctiva.
Ear and labyrinth
• Uncommon: dizziness; Rare: increased or decreased sharpness of hearing, vertigo, tinnitus.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
• Rare: erythema, increased sweating, itching, urticaria (hives); very rare: rash.
General disorders and administration site conditions
• Rare: weakness, fatigue, feeling hot; very rare: chest discomfort, decreased body temperature.

• Uncommon: lowering blood pressure; rare: increase in blood pressure, electrocardiogram changes (ST depression of segment), changes in liver enzymes (increased blood triglycerides), reduce / increase the number of eosinophils;
• Very rare decrease / increase the number of white blood cells, decrease the number of red blood cells, the reduction of the prothrombin time, increase in weight.

5. HOW TO STORE VICETIN
• Store in the original package to protect from light and moisture.
• Do not store above 25 ° C.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use Vicetin after the expiry date stated on the blister and carton.
• The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
• Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does Vicetin tablets
• The active substance is vinpocetine 5 or 10 mg per tablet.
• The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, corn starch; silica colloidal anhydrous; magnesium stearate, talc, gelatin.

• Tablets 5 mg: white to light yellow, round, flat, bevelled and scored on one side with a diameter of 9 mm, odorless.
10 tablets in a blister from solid, transparent, colorless PVC / aluminum foil blister 5 in a carton with leaflet.
• Tablets 10 mg: white to light yellow, round, flat, bevelled and scored on one side with a diameter of 10 mm, odorless. The tablet can be divided into 2 halves.
10 tablets in a blister from solid, transparent, colorless PVC / aluminum foil, 3 or 9 blisters in a carton with leaflet.
