COMPOSITION
The active substance is:
Polysaccharides of Salmonella typhi
(strain Ty 2) (25 micrograms per dose of 0,5 ml).

Additional ingredients: Phenol and a buffered solution containing sodium chloride, disodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and water for injections.

1. WHAT IS TYPHIM Vi AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
TYPHIM is presented in a prefilled syringe containing 0,5 ml of the vaccine.
This medicinal product is a vaccine recommended for the prevention of typhoid fever in adults and children over 2 years of age.
TYPHIM Vi is specifically designed for persons traveling to endemic areas, migrants, health workers and military personnel.

2. BEFORE USE OF TYPHIM Vi
Do not use a TYPHIM Vi if you or your child:
have an allergy to any component of the vaccine;
fever, acute illness or chronic disease in the acute stage (in these cases, the vaccination should be postponed).
Take special precautions when using TYPHIM Vi:
This vaccine should not be injected intravascularly: make sure that the needle does not penetrate a blood vessel;
The vaccine protects against bacteria that cause typhoid {Salmonella typhi), but not against related bacteria {Salmonella paratyphi A or B);
This vaccine is not indicated for children under two years of age, because it is not effective enough in this age.
Pregnancy - lactation
Because of the seriousness of the disease, and in case of high risk of contracting typhoid fever, pregnancy is not a reason to cancel the vaccination.
During pregnancy, this product should be used only on the advice of a physician.
This vaccine can be administered during lactation.

TYPHIM Vi may be administered with other vaccines (vaccines against hepatitis A, yellow fever, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, rabies, meningitis A + His hepatitis B) during the vaccination

3. HOW TO USE TYPHIM Vi
application:

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
As with any medicine, TYPHIM Vi can have side effects in some people.

Reported post-vaccination reactions are generally mild and transient:
local reactions at the injection site (pain, swelling, redness);
Rarely systemic reactions (fever, fatigue, headache, malaise, joint and muscle pain, nausea, abdominal pain);
Very rare: Allergic reactions (itching, rash, urticaria).
Isolated cases of serum violations and serious allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
