TSIPROLON is an antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone group. The active ingredient is ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It works only on certain types of bacteria.
TSIPROLON used in adults to treat the following bacterial infections:
 respiratory infections
 prolonged or repeated ear infections or sinus
 urinary tract infections
Infections of the testes
 infections of the genital mutilation
 infections of the gastrointestinal tract and abdominal infections
 infections of skin and soft tissue
•infections of bones and joints
 For the treatment of infections in patients with very low platelet counts in the blood (neutropenia)
 to prevent infections in patients with very low platelet counts in the blood (neutropenia)
 prevention of infection with Neisseria meningitidis
 inhalation of anthrax spores
If you suffer from severe infection or one caused by more than one type of bacteria, you may be given additional antibiotic treatment unless TSIPROLON.
Children and adolescents
TSIPROLON be used in children and adolescents under the medical supervision of a specialist in the treatment of the following bacterial infections:
 Acute respiratory infections in children and adolescents suffering from cystic fibrosis
 complicated urinary tract infections, including infections that have reached the kidneys (pyelonephritis)
inhalation of anthrax spores
TSIPROLON can also be used to treat other specific severe infections in children and adolescents when your doctor deems it necessary.


TSIPROLON Do not take if you are:
are allergic (hypersensitive) to TSIPROLON or other quinolone drugs or any of the other ingredients of the tablets TSIPROLON (see section 6).
 taking tizanidine (see section Taking other medicines)
Take special care with TSIPROLON
Tell your doctor if:
 have ever had kidney problems because your treatment should be adjusted
 suffer from epilepsy or other neurological disorders
 have a history of tendon problems during previous treatment with antibiotics such as TSIPROLON
 you have myasthenia gravis (a type of muscle weakness)
 have a history of abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia)
While taking TSIPROLON
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms while taking TSIPROLON. Your doctor will decide if treatment TSIPROLON should be discontinued.
 Severe, sudden allergic reaction (anaphylactic reaction / shock). Even with the first dose is a small chance that you may experience a severe allergic reaction with the following symptoms: chest tightness, feeling dizzy, sick or faint or get dizzy when standing up. If you have something like this happen, stop taking TSIPROLON and contact your doctor.
 Pain and swelling in the joints and tendinitis may occur occasionally, particularly if you are elderly and are treated with corticosteroids.  TSIPROLON can cause liver damage. If you notice symptoms such as loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowish skin tone production), dark urine, itching or tenderness of the abdomen, TSIPROLON stop taking and contact your doctor immediately.
 Ciprofloxacin can reduce the number of white blood cells and your body may be weakened. If you have an infection with symptoms such as fever and serious deterioration of your general condition, or fever with local infection symptoms such as sore gyrlo / pharynx / mouth or urinary problems you should immediately see your doctor. A blood test to check possible reduction of white blood cells (agranulocytosis). It is important to tell your doctor about medication.
 Tell your doctor if your family member has a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (O6RS) because you may have a risk of anemia with ciprofloxacin.
 When taking TSIPROLON your skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight and UV rays. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight or artificial sources of UV light such as tanning beds.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Do not take TSIPROLON with tizanidine, because this can lead to side effects such as low blood pressure and sleepiness (see "Do not take TSIPROLON").
It is known that these drugs interact with TSIPROLON in your body. If TSIPROLON while taking these medications can influence their curative effects. Also, it can increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects.
Tell your doctor if you take:
 warfarin or other anticoagulants (blood thinners)
 probenecid (for gout)
 methotrexate (for certain types of cancer, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis)
 theophylline (for breathing problems)
 tizanidine (for muscle spasms in multiple sclerosis)
 clozapine (an antipsychotic drug)
 ropinirole (for Parkinson's disease)
 phenytoin (for epilepsy)
TSIPROLON can increase levels of these drugs in your blood:
 pentoxifylline (for circulatory disorders)
Some drugs reduce the effect of TSIPROLON.
Tell your doctor if you take or want to take:
 mineral supplements
 Phosphate-binding polymer (eg sevelamer)
 medicines or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, aluminum or iron If these products are important for you TSIPROLON take about 2 hours before or no sooner than 4 hours after them.
Taking TSIPROLON with food and drink
If you take TSIPROLON during regular meals, do not eat or drink any dairy products (like milk or yoghurt) or drinks with added calcium when taking the tablets because they can interfere with the absorption of the active ingredient.
Pregnancy and lactation
It is preferable to avoid the use of TSIPROLON during pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you plan to become pregnant. Do not take TSIPROLON during breast feeding because ciprofloxacin is excreted in breast milk and may harm your baby.
Driving and operating machinery
TSIPROLON can reduce your attention. Some neurological side effects can occur. So check how you react to TSIPROLON lredi to drive vehicles or operate machinery. If in doubt, consult your doctor.


Your doctor will tell you how much TSIPROLON should take and how often and for how long. It depends on the type of infection and how bad it dose may vary between 1 tablet 24 hours to H tablets every 12 hours.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems because they may require dose adjustment.
Treatment usually lasts 5 to 21 days but may be longer for severe infections. Take the tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure how many tablets to take and when to take them, ask your doctor.
a. Swallow the tablets with plenty of fluid. Do not chew them because their taste is not pleasant.
b. Try to take your tablets at the same time each day.
C. You can take the tablets with regular food or in between. Calcium, which is a normal part of the diet will not seriously affect absorption.
Do not take tablets TSIPROLON with dairy products such as milk or yogurt, or enriched fruit juice (eg calcium-fortified orange juice).
Remember to drink plenty of fluids when taking TSIPROLON.
If you take more than the dose TSIPROLON
 If you take more than your prescribed dose, seek medical advice immediately. If possible, take your tablets or pack them with you to show the doctor.
If you forget to take TSIPROLON
 Take normal dose as soon as possible and then continue on the prescribed schedule. However, if it is almost time to become your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the scheme. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Finish the full course of treatment.
If you stop taking TSIPROLON

Common side effects (between 1 and 10 in every 100 patients can receive them):
 nausea, diarrhea
 joint pain in children
Uncommon side effects (between 1 and 10 in every 1,000 patients can receive them):
 fungal superinfection
 high levels of eosinophils, a type of white blood cells
 loss of appetite (anorexia)
 hyperactivity or agitation
 headache, dizziness, sleep problems or disorders of taste sensations
 vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion or flatulence.
 increased levels of certain substances in the blood (transaminases and / or bilirubin)
 rash, itching or hives
 joint pain in adults
 impaired renal function
 unspecified pain, malaise or fever
 increased alkaline phosphatase (a substance in the blood)
Rare side effects (between 1 and 10 in every 10,000 patients may receive them):
 inflammation of the colon (colitis) ~ but connected with the use of antibiotics (in very rare cases can be fatal) (see: Take special care with TSIPROLON)
 Changes in blood count (leukopenia, leukocytosis, neutropenia, anemia), increased or decreased number of platelets (responsible for blood clotting)
 allergic reactions, swelling (edema) or rapid swelling of the skin and mucosa (angioedema)
high blood sugar (hyperglycemia)
 confusion, disorientation, anxiety reactions, abnormal dreams, depression or hallucinations
 sensation of tingling, unusual sensitivity to sensory stimuli, decreased skin sensitivity, tremors, convulsions (see: Take special care with TSIPROLON) or dizziness
 vision problems
tinnitus, hearing loss, hearing impairment
 increased heart rate (tachycardia)
 dilation of blood vessels (vasodilation), low blood pressure and fainting
 shortness of breath, including asthmatic symptoms
 liver disorders, jaundice (cholestatic jaundice) or hepatitis
 sensitivity to light (see: Take special care with TSIPROLON)
 aching muscles, sore joints, muscle stiffness or cramps

Each tablet contains 750 mg Tsiprolon 873 mg
Tsiprofloksatsinov hydrochloride monohydrate equivalent to 750 mg of Ciprofloxacin.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, hydrogenated vegetable oil, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), polyethylene glycol, hilromeloza, simethicone, Polyacrylate dispersion
(A copolymer of methacrylic acid - ethyl acrylate).
