TSIPROLON WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
TSIPROLON is an antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone group. The active ingredient is ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It works only on certain types of bacteria.
TSIPROLON used in adults to treat the following bacterial infections:
prolonged or repeated ear infections or sinus
urinary tract infections
Infections of the testes
infections of the genital mutilation
infections of the gastrointestinal tract and abdominal infections
infections of skin and soft tissue
•infections of bones and joints
For the treatment of infections in patients with very low platelet counts in the blood (neutropenia)
to prevent infections in patients with very low platelet counts in the blood (neutropenia)
prevention of infection with Neisseria meningitidis
inhalation of anthrax spores
If you suffer from severe infection or one caused by more than one type of bacteria, you may be given additional antibiotic treatment unless TSIPROLON.
Children and adolescents
TSIPROLON be used in children and adolescents under the medical supervision of a specialist in the treatment of the following bacterial infections:
Acute respiratory infections in children and adolescents suffering from cystic fibrosis
complicated urinary tract infections, including infections that have reached the kidneys (pyelonephritis)
inhalation of anthrax spores
TSIPROLON can also be used to treat other specific severe infections in children and adolescents when your doctor deems it necessary.
BEFORE YOU TAKE TSIPROLON
TSIPROLON Do not take if you are:
are allergic (hypersensitive) to TSIPROLON or other quinolone drugs or any of the other ingredients of the tablets TSIPROLON (see section 6).
taking tizanidine (see section Taking other medicines)
Take special care with TSIPROLON
Tell your doctor if:
have ever had kidney problems because your treatment should be adjusted
suffer from epilepsy or other neurological disorders
have a history of tendon problems during previous treatment with antibiotics such as TSIPROLON
you have myasthenia gravis (a type of muscle weakness)
have a history of abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia)
While taking TSIPROLON
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms while taking TSIPROLON. Your doctor will decide if treatment TSIPROLON should be discontinued.
Severe, sudden allergic reaction (anaphylactic reaction / shock). Even with the first dose is a small chance that you may experience a severe allergic reaction with the following symptoms: chest tightness, feeling dizzy, sick or faint or get dizzy when standing up. Ciprofloxacin can reduce the number of white blood cells and your body may be weakened. If you have an infection with symptoms such as fever and serious deterioration of your general condition, or fever with local infection symptoms such as sore gyrlo / pharynx / mouth or urinary problems you should immediately see your doctor. A blood test to check possible reduction of white blood cells (agranulocytosis). It is important to tell your doctor about medication.
Tell your doctor if your family member has a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (O6RS) because you may have a risk of anemia with ciprofloxacin.
When taking TSIPROLON your skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight and UV rays. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight or artificial sources of UV light such as tanning beds.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Do not take TSIPROLON with tizanidine, because this can lead to side effects such as low blood pressure and sleepiness (see "Do not take TSIPROLON").

Tell your doctor if you take:
warfarin or other anticoagulants (blood thinners)
probenecid (for gout)

tizanidine (for muscle spasms in multiple sclerosis)
clozapine (an antipsychotic drug)
ropinirole (for Parkinson's disease)
phenytoin (for epilepsy)
TSIPROLON can increase levels of these drugs in your blood:
pentoxifylline (for circulatory disorders)
Some drugs reduce the effect of TSIPROLON.
Tell your doctor if you take or want to take:
Phosphate-binding polymer (eg sevelamer)
medicines or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, aluminum or iron If these products are important for you TSIPROLON take about 2 hours before or no sooner than 4 hours after them.
Taking TSIPROLON with food and drink
If you take TSIPROLON during regular meals, do not eat or drink any dairy products (like milk or yoghurt) or drinks with added calcium when taking the tablets because they can interfere with the absorption of the active ingredient.
Pregnancy and lactation
It is preferable to avoid the use of TSIPROLON during pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you plan to become pregnant. Do not take TSIPROLON during breast feeding because ciprofloxacin is excreted in breast milk and may harm your baby.
Driving and operating machinery

HOW TO TAKE TSIPROLON?
Your doctor will tell you how much TSIPROLON should take and how often and for how long. It depends on the type of infection and how bad it dose may vary between 1 tablet 24 hours to H tablets every 12 hours.

b. Try to take your tablets at the same time each day.

If you forget to take TSIPROLON

If you stop taking TSIPROLON

loss of appetite (anorexia)
hyperactivity or agitation
headache, dizziness, sleep problems or disorders of taste sensations
vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion or flatulence.
increased levels of certain substances in the blood (transaminases and / or bilirubin)
rash, itching or hives
joint pain in adults
impaired renal function
unspecified pain, malaise or fever
increased alkaline phosphatase (a substance in the blood)
Rare side effects (between 1 and 10 in every 10,000 patients may receive them):

HOW TO STORE TSIPROLON
