TORAZIDEKS WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Torazideks is used to treat:
edema caused by increased fluid in the tissues which occurs in patients with heart failure.
Torasemid is a diuretic, which means it is a drug that increases urine output.
BEFORE YOU TAKE TORAZIDEKS
Torazideks Do not take if you are / if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to:
drugs with similar chemical structure and some medications for diabetes containing active substances whose names usually end in "-Mid" or any of the other ingredients
renal failure with insufficient urine
severe liver disease with loss of consciousness
blood pressure lower than 100/60 mmHg (women) or 110/60 mmHg (in men)
Take special care with Torazideks
Tell your doctor if any of the following apply to you:
Gout and / or increased levels of uric acid in the blood
Low blood volume
Decreases in potassium and sodium in the blood
Variations in the amount of acids and bases in the blood
Severe urinary disorders, such as caused by an enlarged prostate gland - reduced kidney function due to drugs that cause kidney damage
Taking other medicines - see "Taking other medicines"
If Torazideks take a long time, your doctor will monitor blood counts, especially if you take other medicines.
Children under 12 years of age
Due to insufficient data, the doctor will prescribe Torazideks only when absolutely necessary.
Taking Torazideks with food and drink
Do not take these tablets together with alcohol.
Using Torazideks can lead to zitivirane results in doping controls.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
The following medicines may affect or be affected by Torazideks:
Medicines to treat high blood pressure, especially drugs with active substance whose name ends with "-app" medicines that improve the pumping function of the heart, digitoxin, digoxin or Methyldigoxin
Medicines to treat diabetes, probenecid. medicine for gout - medicines to treat inflammation and pain as aspirin or indomethacin sulfasalazine, mesalazine or olsalazin, medicines to treat inflammatory bowel disease
Medicines used to treat infections such as tsefiksim, cefuroxime, cefaclor, cephalexin. tsefadroksil, tsefpodoksim proksetil, kanamycin, neomycin, gentamicin, tobramycin or amikacin

Lithium medication for depression

Pregnancy and lactation
Torazideks not recommended for women who are breastfeeding as it can harm the baby.
During pregnancy take Torazideks only if your doctor says it is absolutely necessary. In this case you should use the lowest possible dose.

Driving and operating machinery
When taking Torazideks may occur dizziness or drowsiness, especially at the beginning of treatment, a higher dose when crossing the tablets with a higher concentration or during concomitant use with alcohol.
If your attention is weakened, do not drive or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Torazideks
This medicine contains lactose which is a sugar. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
HOW TO TAKE TORAZIDEKS
Always Torazideks exactly as your doctor has told you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose for adults, adolescents and the elderly:
Torazideks 5 mg. Tablets
1 tablet once a day
If necessary, your doctor may gradually increase the dose to 4 tablets daily.
Place the tablet on a hard flat surface with a score upwards. Click on the middle finger of the tablet and it
divided into two equal halves.
Torazideks 10 mg. Tablets
1/2 tablet once a day
If necessary, your doctor may gradually increase the dose to 2 tablets once daily. :
Impairment of liver function
Your doctor will treat you with caution, as the level of torasemid may increase.
Route of administration
Take the tablets every morning without food, unchewed with 100 ml. fluid, which is equivalent to half a tumbler glass.
Duration of administration
We will be judged by your health care provider. Torazideks can be used continuously for several years or until the excess fluid in the tissues disappears.
If you take more than the dose Torazideks must:
Immediately contact your doctor. Overdose can cause release of large amounts of water (urine), drowsiness, confusion. weakness, dizziness, hypotension, circulatory collapse, indigestion.
Always take with you all the other tablets, as well as the box, as this will allow easier identification of the tablets.
If you forget to take Torazideks Take the missed dose as soon as possible the same day or the next dose at the normal time the next day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you stop taking Torazideks
Do not stop taking torasemid without permission of your doctor, as it can seriously harm you and reduce the therapeutic effect. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Torazideks can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Side effects may occur with the following frequencies:
Common, occurring in 1 to 10 out of 100 patients:
violations of the amount of body water and mineral salts, especially when there is limited salt intake
increased concentration of alkaline substances in the body
muscle cramps, especially at the beginning of treatment
elevated concentrations of uric acid, glucose and blood lipids
low levels of potassium and sodium in the blood
low blood volume
violation of the stomach and / or intestines, such as lack of appetite, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation
elevated levels of some liver enzymes gamma-glutamyl
Uncommon, occurring in 1 to 10 of 1000 patients:
increasing concentrations of urea and creatinine in the blood
tingling sensation or numbness in the hands and feet
difficulty urinating (eg, due to prostatic hyperplasia)
Very rare, occurring in less than 1 in 10,000 patients:
narrowing or constriction of blood vessels caused by reduced blood volume
lower than normal blood pressure, faintness, dizziness, especially when standing
angina, a condition that often presents with severe chest pain
inflammation of the pancreas
allergic reaction with itching and rash
sensitivity to light
severe skin reactions
reduce the number of red and white blood cells and platelets
ringing or buzzing
loss of hearing
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO STORE TORAZIDEKS
Keep out of reach of children. Torazideks Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton after "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not store above 25 ° C.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
