What is TevaBehist 16 mg tablets and what is it used?
Betahistine is a substance similar to histamine, which is normally found in the human body. Betahistine works by reducing signals in the center of balance in the brain that cause dizziness.
TevaBehist 16 mg tablets used for the treatment of Meniere's disease which is manifested by:
• dizziness / vertigo (with nausea and / or vomiting)
• hearing loss (hard of hearing)
• tinnitus (ringing in the ears)

Before you take TevaBehist 16 mg tablets
Do not take TevaBehist 16 mg tablets:

- If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to betahistinov hydrochloride or to any of the excipients
- If you have an adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma) during pregnancy and lactation in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
Take special care with TevaBehist 16 mg tablets:
TevaBehist 16 mg tablets should be used is paid if:
- Suffer from ulcers of the stomach or duodenum, due to risk of dyspepsia (heartburn, heartburn, nausea, stomach discomfort) during treatment

No special restrictions on the intake of certain foods and drinks during treatment with this product.
The product should be taken with meals. Pregnancy and lactation
Before taking any other medicines, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Safety of betahistine during pregnancy and lactation has not been established and therefore the product is not recommended for use in pregnant and lactating women.

Driving and using machines
Betahistine usually does not affect alertness and ability to concentrate the attention, but sometimes drowsiness may occur during treatment with this product. As a result, it may temporarily impair the ability to drive and use machines.

3 How to take TevaBehist 16 mg tablets?

Recommended adult dose:
Daily dose of 24-48 mg divided into two or three doses.

This product should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years. Efficacy and safety of the product in this age group has not been established.
Some patients may experience improvement after 14 days of treatment.
If you think that the effect of TevaBehist 16 mg tablets is too strong or too weak, please talk with your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take a larger dose TevaBehist 16 mg tablets required
If you or someone else has taken too much TevaBehist 16 mg tablets, contact your doctor.
Symptoms of overdose include headache, flushing, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing due to bronchoconstriction (asthma) and swelling of the lining of the upper respiratory tract (Quincke's edema).
If overdose is necessary to evacuate the stomach by inducing vomiting, stomach tube and lavage, and administer appropriate medicines for the treatment of the symptoms of overdose. If symptoms of overdose, call a doctor.

If you forget to take TevaBehist 16 mg tablets

4 Possible side effects
