WHAT TANYZ AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?

Tanyz solid modified release capsules are orange / olive green in color. At both ends of the body of the capsule has a black stripe on the capsule is printed black printed TSL 0.4
They are available in blister packs or packs of 30, 60 and 90 hard capsules with modified release.
Not all pack sizes may be available in the market.

Tanyz solid modified release capsules are used to treat symptoms when urinating caused by benign enlargement of the prostate. The active substance in the capsules is a type of medicine called ai-adrenoceptor blocker that reduces muscle contraction of the prostate and urethra (tube that brings urine from the bladder to outside). This facilitates the flow of urine through the urethra and helps urination.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE TANYZ

Do not take Tanyz:

• If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to tamsulozinov hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the product. Hypersensitivity or allergy to tamsulozinov hydrochloride can be expressed with sudden swelling of hands or feet, difficulties in breathing and / or itching and rash (angioedema). If you feel dizzy or have collapsed due to low blood pressure (eg. A sudden transition from lying to sitting or standing).

• If you have ever suffered from severe liver disease.

• If you are cataract surgery.

Take special care with Tanyz:

If you have severe kidney disease.

If you experience dizziness or feel faint during the use of tamsulosin. Please immediately sit or lie down until the symptoms disappear. If you experience sudden swelling of hands or feet, difficulties in breathing and / or itching and rash caused by an allergic reaction (angioedema) during treatment with tamsulosin.

Please consult your doctor, even if that ever happened in the past.

Taking other medicines

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Tanyz can lower blood pressure when taken with other alpha 1A-blockers. Diclofenac (analgesic, anti-inflammatory drug) and warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting) can affect the rate at which Tanyz is removed from the body.

Please note that these statements may also apply to medicines that you have used some time ago or will use some time in the future.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed.

Taking Tanyz with food and drink

Tanyz should be taken after breakfast or the first meal of the day.
Pregnancy and lactation

Tanyz is intended only for use in men.
Driving and using machines

No data available that the drug affects the ability to drive or operate machinery. However, patients need to know that can occur dizziness.

3. HOW TO TAKE TANYZ?

Always take tamsulosin exactly as your doctor has told you.
If you are not sure, you should consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dosage is 1 capsule a day after the first meal of the day.
The capsule should be taken while standing or sitting in an upright position and should be swallowed whole with a glass of water (about 1,5 dl). The capsule should not be chewed, your doctor has prescribed a suitable dose for your condition and determine the duration of treatment. Strictly follow its instructions. The dosage should not be changed independently.

If you have the impression that the effect of tamsulosin is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take more dose Tanyz

If you take an overdose, consult your doctor or health center or the nearest emergency center.

If you forget to take Tanyz

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten individual dose. If you forget to take your medicine after the first meal of the day, you can take it later that day. You can miss a dose, if you find that you miss a day.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Tanyz can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

There have been rare reports of:

- Swelling of the face, throat or tongue, with breathing problems associated with allergy.

There are very rare reports of:

- Sustainable painful erection, which is not normally associated with sexual activity

Consult your doctor immediately if you experience or develop any of the following conditions:

The following adverse reactions have been reported:

Common (affects less than 1 in 10 people)

- Dizziness

Uncommon (affects less than 1 in 100 people)

- Abnormal ejaculation (ie less or no noticeable discharge of semen)

- Weakness

- Headache

- Runny or stuffy nose

- Dizziness, while sitting or standing

- Palpitations (rapid or irregular heart beat)

- Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting (being sick), diarrhea or constipation

- Hypersensitivity reactions such as rash, itching, redness, swelling and breathing problems

Rare (affects less or 1 in 1,000 people)

- Fainting
As with other drugs of this type may feel drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth and swelling of the hands and feet.

If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. HOW TO STORE TANYZ?

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. blister packs

Store in the original package. tablet container

Keep container tightly closed.

Do not use Tanyz after the expiry date stated on the pack after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What Tanyz?

The active substance is tamsulozinov hydrochloride (tamsulosin hydrochloride). Other substances are: microcrystalline cellulose, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1: 1), polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, triethyl nitrite (E 1505) and talc in the core of the capsule and gelatin, indigo carmine (E132), titanium dioxide (E 171), yellow iron oxide (E172), red iron oxide (E172), black iron oxide (E172) and printing ink (black iron oxide E172, shellac and propylene glycol (E1520)) in the shell capsule.
