WHAT TALTSID SUSPENSION AND WHAT IT IS USED
The medicine to reduce stomach acidity.

BEFORE YOU USE TALTSID SUSPENSION
Do not use the suspension Taltsid
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Hydrotalcite or any of the other ingredients of Taltsid suspension;
In severe renal impairment;
Low concentrations of phosphate in the blood (hypophosphatemia) may take Taltsid only after consultation with a doctor;
If you suffer from myasthenia gravis.
Patients with impaired renal function (creatinine clearance <30 ml / min), can take Taltsid suspension and serum magnesium and aluminum are checked by your doctor at regular intervals. At low concentration of phosphate in the blood (hypophosphatemia) may take Taltsid suspension only after consulting a doctor.
Taltsid suspension should not be used to treat children under 12 years because there is not enough clinical experience in this population.
Take special care with Taltsid suspension
Constant, recurring heartburn can be a symptom of serious disease, such as gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer. Therefore, treatment with Taltsid suspension should last longer than 14 days without a medical examination.

Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Taltsid should not be taken with drugs, whose absorption may be affected when co-administered (eg, glycosides, tetracyclines or quinolone derivatives such as ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin blocking agents H2 receptor coumarin derivatives, sodium fluoride henodezoksiholat) .
You have to pay attention to the potential influence Taltsid suspension on solubility of drugs that are excreted in the urine, eg. salicylates or quinidine.
Other drugs should always be taken 1-2 hours before or after taking Taltsid suspension.
Use of Taltsid suspension with food and drink
Coadministration of Taltsid suspension and acidic beverages (eg, fruit juices, wine) leads to undesired increase aluminum absorption from the gut. The effervescent tablets contain fruit acids and thus increase the absorption of aluminum.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Given data from pharmacokinetic studies that aluminum levels remain within normal values Taltsid should be used only for short periods of time during pregnancy to minimize contact of the fruit with aluminum.
Usually contain aluminum substances are excreted in human milk. No data on excretion of Taltsid into breast milk and because of the low intestinal absorption in the mother and child can not be expected for newborn health problems.

HOW TO USE TALTSID SUSPENSION
Always use Taltsid suspension exactly as your doctor tells you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Please follow the instructions carefully, as this is essential for the proper functioning of Taltsid suspension!
The usual dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years, unless your doctor has told you otherwise Taltsid suspension: 1 sachet (equivalent to 1000 mg Hydrotalcite) several times a day as needed. The daily dose should not exceed 6 sachets equivalent to 6000 mg Hydrotalcite.
How and when to take Taltsid suspension?
Taltsid suspension must be taken several times a day between meals and before bedtime. Other drugs in general should be taken 1 to 2 hours before or after Taltsid suspension (see section 2).
How long should you take Taltsid suspension?
The duration of treatment depends on the type, severity and course of the complaint. If symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks of treatment, consult your doctor.
If you use more than the amount of suspension Taltsid
Intoxication Taltsid suspension is unlikely due to the low absorption of aluminum and magnesium. Overdose may lead to changes in the faeces, loose stools and increased frequency of defecation.
Generally in these cases are not necessary therapeutic measures.
If you forget to use Taltsid suspension
In next dose do not take a double dose to make up, just resume treatment with the prescribed dose.
If you stop using Taltsid suspension

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Taltsid suspension may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
High doses can lead to kashopodobni stools and frequent bowel movements, vomiting, diarrhea. At recommended doses, these symptoms are usually rare.
In patients with severely impaired renal function, the use of medicinal products containing magnesium and aluminum as Taltsid suspension may cause increased serum levels of magnesium (hypermagnesemia) and elevated serum aluminum levels.
Patients with kidney failure who receive high doses can get aluminum deposits, particularly in nerve and bone tissue may develop phosphate deficiency.
Therefore, in patients with renal failure and prolonged intake of the product should be regularly monitored levels of aluminum.
Tell your doctor if treatment occurs Taltsid diarrhea. Usually dose reduction results in improved symptoms.

HOW TO STORE TALTSID SUSPENSION
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use Taltsid suspension after the expiry date stated on the label and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
