What Salbutamol and in what cases is it used?
Salbutamol is a bronchodilator drug VZF product. Its mechanism of action consists in the stimulation of receptors , bronchial smooth muscle relaxation .
It is used in elastic state of the smooth muscle of the respiratory tract in the case of bronchial asthma , chronic obstructive bronchitis and pulmonary emphysema .
2 . Prior to administration of Salbutamol :
Do not take Salbutamol VZF in case of:
Hypersensitivity to the drug or excipients ;
Cardiovascular disease, valvular heart vitsium , myocardiopathy , binge rhythm disorders, hypertension.
Caution should be used when taking Salbutamol :
from patients with epilepsy , glaucoma or diabetes .
Do not increase the dose and frequency of administration of the medicinal product without consulting a physician , since this can lead to overdosing and development of side effects .
Consultation with a physician is necessary , even in cases where the above warnings may apply to situations in the past.
Special consideration for certain groups of patients :
Using Salbutamol VFZ in children .
Used with great caution in increasing doses - discontinue the drug for adverse reactions.
Using Salbutamol in elderly patients
Use with great care and follow the prescribed doses during treatment .
Pregnancy and lactation
Consult a physician before using the product.
Apply Salbutamol VFZ during pregnancy only if medical evaluation benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. Salbutamol may inhibit uterine contractions . Administration of salbutamol VZF at birth is justified only when absolutely necessary .
The use of the medicinal product during lactation is not recommended.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines

Administered concomitantly with other medicinal products:

During treatment with salbutamol should both be taken orally or parenterally other mimetic (eg , bronchodilators like salbutamol action) , given the potential for serious adverse reactions from the circulation , eg . , Palpitation or acceleration of the rhythm . Caution should be exercised with concomitant administration of salbutamol and tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors or potassium- wasting diuretics . In patients receiving digoxin and salbutamol is recommended setting the level of digoxin in plasma.
3 . Salbutamol How to apply ?
Medicinal product VFZ Salbutamol should be taken with a prescription. If necessary, contact your doctor. Typically , the following dosages :
Adults and children over 12 years:
The initial dose is typically 2-4 mg, max 4 times daily. If necessary , the dose may be repeated , but the following may be administered no sooner than 6 hours after the last. If the effect of the applied dose is inadequate, the dose may be increased gradually , without exceeding the maximum dose of 8 mg 4 times daily. Increased doses should be administered with caution (if side effects should be discontinued study drug administration ) . Single doses exceeding 4 mg may be used only if in smaller doses did not achieve the required effect.
In elderly patients and in patients with increased susceptibility to sympathomimetic amines must be administered a starting dose of 2 mg to about four times daily. If the response is unsatisfactory , the dose should be increased gradually , without exceeding the maximum dose of 8 mg, 3-4 times daily. The maximum daily dose of salbutamol was 32 mg.
Children 6-12 years : The starting dose is usually 2 mg, maximum 3-4 times a day. If necessary , the dose may be increased , but the following may be administered no sooner than 6 hours after the last. If the effect of the applied dose is inadequate, the dose may be gradually increased without exceeding the maximum dose of 6 mg, 4 times daily. Increased doses should be used with caution (if side effects should be discontinued study drug administration ) .
Talk to your doctor if the effect of Salbutamol VFZ is too weak or strong.
If you take more than the prescribed dose immediately contact your doctor. Symptoms of overdose that may occur : anginal pain, high or low blood pressure , rapid heart rate , nervousness , headache, dizziness , palpitations and insomnia. In such cases, discontinue VFZ Salbutamol .
4 . Possible side effects
Anxiety and tremor, headache, insomnia , weakness, dizziness, drowsiness , irritability , palpitations and discomfort in the chest , flushing , painful muscle cramps , nausea , difficulty or painful urinary output .
After administration of salbutamol registered cases of urticaria, angioedema, rash , bronchospasm, laryngeal edema , and arrhythmias.
They can also occur adverse effects such as increased blood pressure , anginal pain , vomiting , stimulation of the central nervous system , skin dryness or irritation to the oral cavity and throat.
These reactions are usually transit and do not require discontinuation of drug administration. Some patients may experience other side effects .
Inform the doctor about any side effect even if not listed in this leaflet.
5 . Specific conditions for storage of Salbutamol :
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children
Prior to adoption of the product to check the expiration date on the package.
Do not apply after the expiration date .
