REACTIN 10 mg. 7 capsules
Cetirizine hydrochloride is the active ingredient of Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules. Reactin is anti-allergic medicine.
In adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules is indicated for:
relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis affecting the nose and eyes;
relief of chronic nettle rash (urticaria).
2. What you need to know before taking Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
Do not take Reactin 10 mg soft capsules:
if you have kidney disease (moderate to severe renal failure with creatinine clearance below 50 ml / min);
if you know you are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride, hydroxyzine or piperazine derivatives (closely related active substances of other medicines) or to any of the ingredients of this medicine (listed in section. 6).
Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules contains soya oil. If you are allergic to peanuts or soya, do not use this product.
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules:
If you are a patient with renal insufficiency, please ask your doctor, if necessary, will take a lower dose. The new dose will be determined by your doctor.
If you have difficulty passing urine, you should ask your doctor for advice.
If you have epilepsy or are at risk of convulsions, you should consult your doctor.
You should stop taking this product three days ago to conduct a patch test since antihistamines may influence the results.
There were no interactions with eventual noticeable effect between alcohol (at the blood level of 0.5 per mille corresponding to one glass of wine) and cetirizine used at the usual doses. However, as with all antihistamines, it is recommended to avoid simultaneous consumption of alcohol.
Other medicines and Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Due to the profile of cetirizine, no interactions with other drugs.
Reactin 10 mg soft capsules with food and drink
Food does not affect noticeably the absorption of cetirizine.
Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, you should tell your doctor before taking this medicine.
As with other drugs, use of Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules should be avoided in pregnant women. Occasional use of the drug by a pregnant woman should not have any harmful effects on the fetus. However, administration of the drug should be discontinued.
You should not take Reactin 10 mg soft capsules during breast feeding because cetirizine passes into breast milk.
Driving and using machines
In clinical trials, no evidence of impaired attention, alertness and ability to drive after taking Reactin 10 mg soft capsules at the recommended dose. If you plan to drive, engage in potentially hazardous activities or operating machinery should not exceed the recommended dose. You should carefully monitor your response to the drug.
If you are sensitive, it may find that the simultaneous use of alcohol or other agents that suppress the nervous system may additionally affect your attention and ability to react.
Reactin 10 mg soft capsules contains sorbitol
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact him / her before taking this medicine.
3. How to take Reactin
How and when should you take Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as you have been told by your doctor or pharmacist. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Please follow these instructions, otherwise Reaktin may not be fully effective.
The capsules should be swallowed with a glass of liquid.
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older:
10 mg once daily as 1 capsule.
Duration of treatment:
The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and course of your complaints and is determined by your doctor.
If you take more than the amount Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
If you think you take more dose Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules, tell your doctor. Your doctor will decide whether to take any measures and what should be.
After overdose side effects described below may occur with greater intensity. The following adverse reactions such as confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, pain, enlargement of the pupil, itching, restlessness, sedation, somnolence, stupor, abnormal rapid heart rate, tremors and urinary retention.
If you forget to take Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
Do not take a double dose to make up the missed dose.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
fatigue, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, pharyngitis, rhinitis.
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
abdominal pain, asthenia (fatigue), malaise, paresthesia (abnormal feelings of the skin), agitation, pruritus, rash.
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1000 people):
tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), edema (swelling), allergic reactions, some severe (very rare), hepatic dysfunction, weight gain, convulsions, aggression, confusion, depression, hallucinations, insomnia, hives.
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):
thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets in the blood), accommodation disorder, blurred vision, oculogyration (eyes with uncontrolled movements), syncope, tremor, dysgeusia (altered taste), dystonia / dyskinesia (movement disorders), abnormal urine, tics edema, fixed drug eruption.
Not known (can not be estimated from available data):
vertigo (dizziness), increased appetite, amnesia (loss of memory), memory impairment, urinary retention (difficulty urinating).
In very rare cases people have had thoughts of committing suicide, and if you feel that way, stop taking the capsules and visit your doctor.
Adverse event reporting
If you experience any of the side effects, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible effects not listed in this leaflet. At the first sign of hypersensitivity reaction, stop taking Reaktin 10 mg soft capsules. Your doctor will assess the severity and decide what further measures may be needed.
5. How to store Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 30 ° C.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What Reactin 10 mg soft capsules
The active substance is cetirizine dihydrochloride. One capsule contains 10 mg cetirizine dihydrochloride.
The other ingredients are macrogol, potassium hydroxide 43% w / w, povidone, purified water, gelatin, sorbitol (E420), glycerol, lecithin, medium chain triglycerides, printing ink (propylene glycol, black iron oxide (E172), polyvinyl acetate phthalate, macrogol and ammonium hydroxide).
