RAMIGAMMA WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Ramigamma contains a medicine called ramipril. It belongs to a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors
Ramigamma acts as:
Reduces your body's production of substances that can increase blood pressure
Helps relax and widen blood vessels
It helps the heart to pump blood around your body
Ramigamma can be used:
For the treatment of high blood pressure
To reduce the risk of getting a heart attack or stroke
To reduce the risk or delay the worsening of kidney problems
For the treatment of heart when it can not pump enough blood to the body
As a treatment after a heart attack, complicated with heart failure
BEFORE YOU TAKE RAMIGAMMA
Do not take Ramigamma
If you are allergic to ramipril, another drug to ACE inhibitors or any of the other ingredients of Ramigamma. Signs of an allergic reaction may include hives, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of ustinte, face, throat or tongue
If you have ever had a serious allergic reaction called "angioedema". Symptoms include itching, hives, redness of the hands, feet and throat launch of the throat and swelling around the eyes and lips, difficulty breathing and swallowing.
If you are on dialysis or any other type of blood filtration. Depending on the equipment, Ramigamma may not be suitable for you.
If you have kidney problems where the blood supply to your kidneys is reduced;
After the third month of pregnancy. Better avoid using Ramigamma and in the early months of pregnancy
If your blood pressure is abnormally low or unstable. Do not take Ramigamma if any of the above apply to you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor before taking Ramigamma.
Pregnancy and lactation
You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant. Your doctor will normally advise you to stop taking Ramigamma before you become pregnant or as soon as possible after you realize that you are pregnant and will prescribe another medicine instead Ramigamma. Ramigamma not recommended in early pregnancy, and must be taken after the third month of pregnancy because it may cause serious harm to the child if given after the third month of pregnancy.
Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding or about to start breast-feeding. Ramigamma not recommended for mothers who are breastfeeding. Your doctor may choose another treatment for you if you want to breast-feed, especially if your child is a newborn or preterm.

Swallow the tablet whole with liquid
Do not crush or chew the tablets
How much to take
Treatment of High Blood Pressure - The usual starting dose is 1.25 mg or 2.5 mg once daily. Your doctor will adjust the dose if your blood pressure is not well controlled.
The maximum dose is 10 mg once daily. If you are already taking diuretics, your doctor may stop or reduce the amount of diuretic you take before beginning treatment with Ramigamma.
To reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke - The usual starting dose is 2.5 mg once daily
Your doctor may then decide to increase the amount you take. The usual dose is 10 mg once daily.
Treatment to reduce or delay the worsening of kidney problems
You can start with a dose of 1.25 mg or 2.5 mg once daily.
Your doctor will adjust the amount you take. The usual dose is 5 mg or 10 mg once daily.
Treatment of Heart Failure - The usual starting dose is 1.25 mg once daily. Your doctor will adjust the amount you take. The maximum dose is 10 mg. Preferably twice a day
Treatment then had a heart attack - The usual starting dose is 1.25 mg once daily and 2.5 mg twice daily. Your doctor will adjust the amount you take. The usual dose is 10 mg. Preferably twice a day.
Elderly - Your doctor will reduce the initial dose and adjust the dose more slowly.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Ramigamma can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Stop taking Ramigamma and see a doctor immediately if you notice any of the following serious side effects - you may need urgent medical treatment:
Swelling of the face, lips or throat which make it difficult to swallow or breathe, as well as itching and rash. This may be a sign of a severe allergic reaction to Ramigamma
Severe skin reactions including rash, mouth ulcers, worsening of pre-existing skin disease, redness, blistering or peeling of the skin.
Immediately contact your doctor if you:
Increased heart rate, uneven or forceful heartbeat, chest pain, chest tightness, or more serious problems, including heart attack and stroke
Shortness of breath or cough. These may be signs of lung problems
Easier bruising, longer bleeding, any bleeding, purple spots covering the skin more easily succumbing to infections, sore throat, fever, fatigue, dizziness or pale skin. These can be signs of problems with blood or bone marrow.
Severe stomach pain that may spread to the back. This may be a sign of pancreatitis
Fever, chills, tiredness, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea, pozhalnyavane the skin or eyes. These may be signs of liver problems such as hepatitis or liver failure.
HOW TO STORE RAMIGAMMA
Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25 º C. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month
