Prestarium Co start 3.5 mg. / 2.5 mg. 30 tablets
Prestarium Co Start is a combination of two active ingredients - perindopril and amlodipine. Both ingredients help to control your high blood pressure.
Perindopril is an ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor. Amlodipine is a calcium antagonist (belongs to a class of medicines called dihydropyridines). They act together by expanding and relaxing the blood vessels to make the blood flow through them more easily and to make your heart easier to maintain good blood flow.
Prestarium Start is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults.
2. What you need to know before you take Prestarium Startup
Do not take Prestarium Startup
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to perindopril or any of the other ACE inhibitors or to amlodipine or other calcium antagonists or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6); if you have severe kidney problems;
if you have experienced symptoms such as swirling breathing, swelling of the face or tongue, intense pruritus or severe skin rash during treatment with ACE inhibitors in the past or if you or a member of your family have experienced similar symptoms in any other circumstances is called angioedema);
if you have a narrowing of the aortic heart valve (aortic stenosis) or cardiogenic shock
(a condition where the heart can not supply the body with enough blood);
if you have very low blood pressure (hypotension);
if you suffer from heart failure as a result of a heart attack;
if you are pregnant after the third month (also preference is to avoid Preterm start early in pregnancy - see section on pregnancy); if you have diabetes or have impaired kidney function and are being treated with a blood pressure lowering drug containing aliskiren;
if you are undergoing dialysis or any other type of blood filtration. Depending on the device used, Prestarium Co Start may not be suitable for you;
if you have kidney problems where your blood supply to your kidneys is reduced (renal artery stenosis).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Prestarium Startup if:
you have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a heart muscle disease); you have heart failure;
you have a severe increase in blood pressure (hypertension); you have other heart problems; you have liver problems;
have kidney problems (including kidney transplant);
you have abnormally elevated levels of a hormone called aldosterone in your blood (primary aldosteronism);
have a collagen vascular disease (connective tissue disease), such as systemic lupus erythematosus or scleroderma; you have diabetes;
adhere to a diet with limited intake of salt or use potassium salt substitutes that contain potassium (it is essential that the blood potassium level is well balanced);
you are elderly and your dose should be increased;
take any of the following medicines used to treat high blood pressure:
angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARB) (also known as sartans - for example valsartan, telmisartan, irbesartan), especially if you have kidney problems associated with diabetes;
Your doctor may periodically check renal function, blood pressure and the amount of electrolytes (potassium in your blood).

Angioedema (a severe allergic reaction with swollen face, lips, tongue or throat accompanied by difficulty in swallowing or breathing) has been reported in patients treated with ACE inhibitors, including perindopril. gold salts, especially when given intravenously (used to treat rheumatoid arthritis symptoms);
ritonavir, indinavir, nelfinavir (the so-called protease inhibitors used to treat HIV);
potassium-sparing medicines to be used in the treatment of heart failure: eplerenone and spironolactone at doses between 12.5 mg to 50 mg per day; trimethoprim (for the treatment of infections); estramustine (used to treat cancer);

People who take Prestarium Co. Start should not consume grapefruit juice and grapefruit juice. This is because grapefruit and grapefruit juice can cause an increase in the blood levels of the active ingredient amlodipine, which in turn may lead to an unpredictable increase in the blood pressure lowering effect of Prestarium Co Start.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you think you are pregnant (or you may become pregnant). Your doctor will usually advise you to stop taking Prestarium as a pre-pregnancy or as soon as you know that you are pregnant and will advise you on taking Prestarium as soon as you start taking another medicine. Driving and using machines
Preterm Start-up may affect your ability to drive and use machines. If your tablets make you feel sick, dizzy, faint or tired or if you are having a headache, do not drive or operate machinery and contact your doctor immediately.
Prestarium Start contains lactose monohydrate
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
3. How to take Prestarium Startup
Always take Prestarium What you start exactly as your doctor told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one Prestarium 3.5 mg / 2.5 mg once daily tablet.

How To Store Prestarium Startup
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and the bottle. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
After opening, Prestarium should be used within 10 days for 10 tablet tablets, 30 days for 30 tablet tablets, 50 days for 50 tablet tablets, and 90 days for packs of tablets of 100 tablets.
