Pramipexole Genericon WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Pramipexole Genericon belongs to a group of medicines called dopamine agonists, which stimulate dopamine receptors in the brain. Stimulation of the dopamine receptors triggers nerve impulses in the brain that help to control body movements.
Genericon Pramipexole is used to treat the symptoms of primary Parkinson's disease. Can be used alone or in combination with levodopa.
BEFORE taking pramipexole Genericon
Do not take pramipexole Genericon
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to pramipexole or any of the other ingredients of the tablets (see section 6. Additional information).
Take special care with Pramipexole Genericon
Tell your doctor if you have (have had) or develop any medical conditions or symptoms, especially any of the following:
hallucinations (seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not there). Most hallucinations are visual.
Dyskinesia (eg abnormal, uncontrolled movements of the limbs)
If you have Parkinson's disease and are also taking levodopa, you might develop dyskinesia during the up-titration of pramipexole Genericon.
somnolence and episodes of sudden sleep onset
changes in behavior (eg pathological gambling), increased libido (as increased sexual desire), binge eating
Psychosis (eg comparable with symptoms of schizophrenia)
You should have regular eye examinations during treatment with pramipexole.
Severe heart or vascular disease
There should be regular monitoring of blood pressure, especially when starting treatment. This is necessary to avoid orthostatic hypotension (drop in blood pressure when standing up).
Children aged and young
Not recommended for use Pramipexole Genericon in children and adolescents under 18 years. Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes medicines, herbal remedies, health foods or supplements that you have obtained without a prescription.
You should avoid taking Pramipexole Genericon together with antipsychotic drugs.
Be careful if you are taking the following medications:
Cimetidine (to treat excess stomach acid and stomach ulcers)
Amantadine (which can be used to treat Parkinson's disease)
If you are taking levodopa, it is recommended to reduce levodopa dose when starting treatment with pramipexole Genericon.
Be careful if you are taking any medicines that calm you down (have a sedative effect) or if you drink alcohol. In these cases pramipexole may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
Taking Pramipexole Genericon with food and drink
You should be cautious while drinking alcohol during treatment with pramipexole Genericon.
Genericon Pramipexole may be taken with or without food. You should take the tablets with water.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Your doctor will discuss with you whether you should continue taking Pramipexole Genericon.
Genericon effects of pramipexole on an unborn child is not known. Therefore, do not take Pramipexole Genericon if you are pregnant unless your doctor told you to do.
Genericon Pramipexole should not be taken during breastfeeding. Pramipexole may reduce the production of breast milk. Also, can pass into breast milk and affect your baby. If treatment with pramipexole Genericon is inevitable to stop.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Driving and operating machinery
Genericon Pramipexole may cause hallucinations (seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not there). If this happens, do not drive or operate machinery.
Genericon Pramipexole is associated with somnolence and episodes of sudden sleep onset, particularly in patients with Parkinson's disease. If you experience these side effects should not drive or operate machinery. You should tell your doctor if this happens.
Important information about some of the ingredients of pramipexole tablets Genericon
Genericon pramipexole tablets contain mannitol, because there may be less pronounced laxative.
HOW TO TAKE pramipexole Genericon?
Always Genericon Pramipexole tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. Your doctor will advise you on the proper dosage.
The daily dose should be divided equally into three separate doses.
The usual daily dose for the first week is 1 tablet Pramipexole Genericon 0.088 mg tid / equivalent to 0.264 mg daily /:
1 tablet Pramipexole Genericon 0.088 mg three times daily.
Total daily dose - 0.264 mg
This will be increased every 5-7 days as recommended by your doctor until your symptoms are controlled / maintenance dose /.
0.18 mg 1 tablet three times daily or 2 tablets of 0.088 mg three times daily
Total daily dose - 0.54 mg
0.35 mg 1 tablet three times daily or 2 tablets of 0.18 mg three times daily.
Total daily dose - 1.1 mg
The usual maintenance dose is 1.1 mg per day. However, you may need to further increase your dose. If necessary, your doctor may increase the dose to a maximum taletki 3.3 mg of pramipexole a day. It is also possible maintenance doses lower than 0.088 mg three tablets a day.
Patients with renal impairment
If you have moderate or severe kidney disease, your doctor will prescribe a low dose. In this case you will need to take the tablets once or twice daily. If you have moderate kidney disease, the usual starting dose is 1 tablet Pramipexole Genericon 0,088 mg twice daily. In severe kidney disease, the usual starting dose is just 1 tablet Pramipexole Genericon one 0,088 mg twice daily.
Genericon Pramipexole may be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablets with water.
If you take more than the dose pramipexole Genericon
If you accidentally take too many tablets
you should immediately contact your doctor or go to the nearest emergency center for advice.

If you forget to take Pramipexole Genericon
Do not be nervous. Just skip that dose completely and then take your next dose at the regular time. Do not try to make up the missed dose.
If you stop taking Pramipexole Genericon
Do not stop taking Pramipexole Genericon without first checking with your doctor. If you need to stop taking this medicine, your doctor will reduce the dose gradually. This reduces the risk of worsening symptoms
If you have Parkinson's disease should not suddenly stop taking Pramipexole Genericon. A sudden stop could cause you to develop a condition called neuroleptic malignant syndrome which may represent a significant health risk. Symptoms include:
akinesia (loss of muscle movement)
unstable blood pressure
tachycardia (fast heart rate)
state of confusion
decreased level of consciousness (coma)

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
If you may experience the following side effects:
dyskinesia (napr.neobichayni, uncontrolled movements of the limbs)
hallucinations (seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not there)
state of confusion
changes in sleep and sleeplessness (insomnia) and sleepiness
peripheral edema (fluid retention, usually in the legs)
Paranoia (eg excessive fear for one's health)
Excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep onset episodes
hyperkinesia (increased movements and inability to keep still)
increased sexual desire (eg increased libido)
allergic reaction (eg, rash, pruritus, hypersensitivity reactions)
Pathological gambling, especially in patients with Parkinson's disease taking Pramipexole Genericon in high doses
excessive eating (binge eating, hyperphagia)
The most common adverse reactions (> 5%) in patients with Parkinson's disease are:
hallucinations (seeing things or hearing sounds that are not real)
Dyskinesia (eg abnormal, uncontrolled movements of the limbs)
hypotension (drop in blood pressure when standing up)
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO STORE pramipexole Genericon
Keep out of reach of children.
Pramipexole Genericon Do not use after the expiry date stated on the pack k. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
What Pramipexole Genericon
Active substance: pramipexole
Each tablet Pramipexole Genericon contains 0,088 mg 0,088 mg pramipexole base (in the form of 0,125 mg pramipeksolov dihydrochloride monohydrate).
Each tablet Pramipexole Genericon contains 0,18 mg 0,18 mg pramipexole base (as 0.25 mg pramipeksolov dihydrochloride monohydrate).
Each tablet Pramipexole Genericon contains 0,35 mg 0,35 mg pramipexole base (in the form of 0,5 mg pramipeksolov dihydrochloride monohydrate
Each tablet Pramipexole Genericon contains 0,7 mg 0,7 mg pramipexole base (as 1 mg pramipeksolov dihydrochloride monohydrate).
Pramipexole Each tablet contains 1,1 mg Genericon 1,1 nig pramipexole base (in the form of 1,5 mg pramipeksolov dihydrochloride monohydrate).
The other ingredients are mannitol, corn starch, pregelatinized, silicon dioxide, anhydrous colloidal povidone K29/32, and magnesium stearate.
