PLRAKOFDAL WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED

Parakofdal combined medicine with analgesic, antitussive and temperature decreasing effect.
 
Used for the treatment of low and medium expressed pain (headaches, post-operative conditions, toothache, neuralgia, neuritis, painful menstruation), lower fever and relieve cough.
 

 BEFORE YOU TAKE PARDKOFDAL

 
Do not take Parakofdal
 
 if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the ingredients of Parakofdal.
  if you have kidney or liver disease, heart rhythm disturbances and slow heartbeat, diseases of the haematopoietic system, ulcer, glaucoma, insomnia, hypertension, severe headache with vomiting, headache due to head trauma, thyroid gland elderly or impaired consciousness, Addison's disease, enlarged prostate gland, or narrowing of the urethra, data on drug abuse, chronic alcoholism, porphyria, deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-fosfatdehidrogenaza, pregnancy and lactation, children under 14 years .
 
Take special care with Parakofdal
 
Parakofdal should be administered with caution in the following cases:
  Due to the risk of developing drug dependence Parakofdal associated with the presence in the composition of the narcotic analgesic codeine, its use should be avoided in individuals with a history of drug abuse, and duration of treatment with the product should last more longer than 3-5 days.
  Parakofdal should be used with caution in the presence of food allergies and medications in asthmatics.
 
 Its use in acute infections may remove symptoms (fever, pain) and hamper diagnosis.
  When performing laboratory tests recommended stopping the Parakofdal 3-4 days before testing.
 
Taking other medicines
 
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
  Medicines to relieve excess stomach acid (antacids) may decrease the absorption of Parakofdal.
  Chronic use of alcohol can increase the liver toxicity Parakofdal.
  Cimetidine may increase liver toxicity Parakofdal.
  Parakofdal should not be taken with alcohol and drugs that depress the central nervous system (narcotic analgesics, general anesthetics, sedatives and hypnotics), therefore enhancing this effect.
  Located in the composition of the drug metamizole can reduce the therapeutic effect of oral anticoagulants (drugs that affect blood clotting).
  Chloramphenicol and other oppressive means haematopoietic system enhance toxic effects on metamizole leucopoiesis (formation of white blood cells).
 
Pregnancy and lactation
 
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. All ingredients Parakofdal cross the placental barrier. Taken in large doses immediately before birth may cause respiratory depression in the fetus due to codeine. All ingredients Parakofdal are secreted in breast milk in low concentrations, but the effect on infants is unknown.
 
Not recommended adoption of Parakofdal during pregnancy and lactation or breast-feeding should be discontinued in urgent medicine.
 
Driving and operating machinery
 
Parakofdal may cause dizziness and drowsiness, and individuals with anxiety and excitement, so they are not recommended for adoption by the drivers and people working with machines.
 
Important information about some of the ingredients of Parakofdal
 
The product contains lactose (excipient). If you have been told you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Wheat starch (excipient in medicinal products) may only contain traces of gluten and is considered safe for people with celiac disease. Patients with wheat allergy (different from celiac disease) should not take this product.
 

 HOW TO TAKE PARAKOFDAL

 
Always Parakofdal as instructed.
 
If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The tablets are taken with water after meals.
 
The usual dose is:
 
 Parakofdal tablets on prescription:
 
Adults and children over 14 years
 
1 tablet 1 to 3 times a day but not more than 6 tablets daily.
 
 Parakofdal tablets without prescription:
 
Adults and children over 14 years
 
H 1 tablet twice daily.
 
The maximum daily dose is 3 tablets.
 
It should not be taken for more than 2-3 consecutive days.
 
Children under 14 years
 
Safety and effectiveness in children Parakofdal not been studied, and therefore its use in children under 14 years is not recommended.
 
If you take more than the dose Parakofdal
 
Immediately consult your doctor in this case!
 
If you forget to take Parakofdal
 
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If almost happened next dose, take it as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
 

 POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

 
Like all medicines, Parakofdal can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
 
When using Parakofdal are possible following side effects: abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, renal failure, abnormal blood counts, skin rashes and itching, constipation or diarrhea, dizziness, respiratory depression and bronchospasm, hypotension (pronounced fall in blood pressure ), fast heart rate, insomnia and increased nervous excitability, discoloration of the skin, tiredness, fever, chills and sore throat after treatment initiation.
If any of these symptoms, immediately stop taking Parakofdal and seek medical help. 
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
 

 HOW TO STORE PARAKOFDAL

 
 Keep out of reach of children.
  Store in original container in a dry and dark place at room temperature
below 25 ° C.
  Do not use Parakofdal after the expiry date stated on the carton.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
  Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required.
These measures will help to protect the environment.

What Parakofdal
 
 The active ingredients are paracetamol metamizole sodium phosphate kodeinov and caffeine.
  The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, povidone, wheat starch, sodium carboxymethyl starch, magnesium stearate, cellulose microcrystalline, talc.
