WHAT PANADOL Baby AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR ?
PANADOL Baby 125 mg suppository is designed for children aged 3 months to 3 years. Relieves mild to moderate pain in teething , toothache , headache and sore throat and lowers the temperature for colds , flu, and children's infections. It is also recommended to lower the highest temperature in post - vaccination reactions.
How does PANADOL Baby suppositories ?
Baby PANADOL 125 mg suppository contains paracetamol, which relieving mild to moderate pain of different origins and reduces fever . PANADOL Baby 125 mg suppositories are easy to apply , especially when the child has difficulty in swallowing or vomiting.
2 . Before adopting PANADOL Baby
Check before taking this medication IMPORTANT!
Remember: Baby PANADOL contain paracetamol .
Do not be taken with other drugs containing acetaminophen .
Do not give PANADOL Baby 125 mg suppositories children allergic to paracetamol or excipient .
Consult your doctor before giving PANADOL Baby suppositories if:
child has kidney or liver disease ;
taking warfarin and similar medicines used to thin the blood ;
there was a problem breathing when using this or a similar medicine in the past.
Not be used in patients with diarrhea who had recently had inflammation or bleeding in the colon.
Pregnancy and lactation
Not applicable - the drug is intended for pediatric use , for the treatment of children from 3 months to 3 years.
3 . HOW TO TAKE PANADOL Baby ?
Dosage: Children over 3 months to 3 years:
The daily dose is determined based on the weight of the child.
The usual daily dose is 60 mg / kg, usually divided into 4 - 15 mg / kg single dose.
Do not apply more than 4 doses a day and at intervals shorter than four hours .
Do not allow more than 60 mg / kg for a period of 24 hours.
A suppository was placed in the rectum every 4 to 6 hours.
Do not give more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
If the child's condition does not improve , seek advice from your doctor.
Do not give to children under 3 months .
Do not take by mouth.
Method of administration :
Wash your hands. Remove individual plastic packaging suppositories. Carefully insert the suppository into the rectum using a pointer . Putting suppository may be facilitated if the child lie down on one side and bend your legs as close as possible under the chin .
Do not exceed the indicated dose . If you think a child has taken more than the recommended dose , seek immediate medical attention , even if it feels good , because of the risk of liver damage .
The most common symptoms of overdose are nausea , vomiting , abdominal pain , loss of appetite , usually occurring within 24 hours after the overdose .
What should you do if you forget or you forget to give the required dose for your child ?
Give the required dose when you remember. Do not give a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
