OLFREX belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics.
OLFREX used to treat diseases in which there are symptoms such as hearing, seeing or sensing things, mistaken beliefs, unusual suspiciousness, and becoming withdrawn. People with this disease may also feel depressed, anxious or tense.

OLFREX WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
OLFREX belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics.
OLFREX used to treat diseases in which there are symptoms such as hearing , seeing or sensing things , mistaken beliefs , unusual suspiciousness , and becoming withdrawn . People with this disease may also feel depressed, anxious or tense .
OLFREX can be used to treat conditions that occur with symptoms such as elevated mood, excessive amounts of energy , less need for sleep , talking very quickly with racing one after the other ideas and sometimes severe irritability .
OLFREX mood stabilizer that prevents further occurrences of the disabling high and low (depressed ) extremes of mood associated with this condition .

2 . BEFORE YOU TAKE OLFREX
Do not take OLFREX
 If you are allergic (hypersensitive ) to olanzapine or any of the other ingredients of OLFREKS . An allergic reaction may be recognized as a rash , itching, swollen face, swollen lips or shortness of breath . If this happens to you, talk to your doctor ;
 If you have been diagnosed with related eye problems - for example, certain types of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) .
 
Take special care with OLFREKS
 Drugs of this type may cause unusual movements mainly of the face and tongue. If this happens after you take OLFREKS tell your doctor ;
 Very rarely , medicines of this type cause a combination of fever, faster breathing , sweating, muscle stiffness , drowsiness or insomnia. If this happens , contact your doctor immediately ;
 Not recommended for use in OLFREKS elderly patients with dementia , as this may lead to serious side effects;
 If you suffer from any of the following illnesses tell your doctor as soon as possible: Diabetes ;
 Heart disease ;
 Liver or kidney disease ;
 Parkinson's disease;
 epilepsy ;
 Prostate problems ;
 Bowel obstruction ( paralytic ileus ) ;
 Blood disorders ;
 Stroke or " mini " stroke (temporary symptoms of stroke) ;

 If you suffer from dementia, you or the person who takes care of you should inform your doctor ;
 If you have ever had a stroke or " mini " stroke , tell your doctor.
 
As a routine precaution, if you are older than 65 g, your blood pressure should be monitored by your doctor.
OLFREX is not intended for people under 18 years of age.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Taking other medicines during treatment with OLFREKS is only as prescribed by your doctor .
You may feel drowsy if you take OLFREKS in combination with antidepressants or medicines taken for anxiety or to help you sleep (tranquillizers ) .
You must inform your doctor if you are taking fluvoxamine ( an antidepressant ) or mtsiprofloksatsin ( antibiotic) , as it may need to change your dose OLFREX .
Especially tell your doctor if you are taking medicines to treat Parkinson's disease.

Taking OLFREKS with food and drink
Do not drink alcohol during treatment OLFREKS as concomitant use of OLFREKS and alcohol can cause drowsiness.

Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine .
Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant .
You should not take this medicine if you are pregnant unless you have discussed this with your doctor. You should not take this medicine if you are breast-feeding , as small amounts of OLFREX can pass into breast milk.

Driving and using machines
Do not drive , as there is a risk of feeling drowsy while taking OLFREX .
Do not use any tools or machines.

Important information about some of the ingredients of OLFREX
OLFREKS contains lactose monohydrate. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.

3 . HOW TO TAKE OLFREX
Always take OLFREKS exactly as your doctor tells you . If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual daily dose OLFREKS is between 5 and 20 mg.
Try to take OLFREKS at the same time every day.
Taking the tablets may be administered with food .
If you feel better, do not stop taking OLFREKS before you have consulted with your doctor.

If you take more than you should OLFREX
Contact your doctor or just go to the nearest hospital .
Patients take more dose OLFREKS observed fast heart rate , agitation / aggressiveness, problems with speech , unusual movements ( especially of the face or tongue) and reduced level of consciousness.
Other symptoms may be: acute confusion, seizures (epilepsy ) , coma , a combination of fever, faster breathing, sweating , muscle stiffness and drowsiness or sleepiness, slow heart rate , aspiration, high or low blood pressure.

If you forget to take OLFREX
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

If you stop taking OLFREKS
Do not stop treatment just because you feel better. It is important to continue taking OLFREKS as long as your doctor recommends .
If you suddenly stop taking OLFREKS may experience symptoms such as sweating, sleep disorders , tremor (shaking) , anxiety or nausea and vomiting. Your doctor may suggest you to reduce the dose gradually before stopping treatment.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4 . POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, OLFREKS can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Very common side effects - affects 1 (one) of 10 patients :
 Weight gain ;
 drowsiness;
 Increase in prolactin levels in the blood.
 
Common side effects - affects 1 to 10 of 100 patients :
 Changes in the levels of some blood cells and circulating fats ;
 Increase in the levels of sugar in blood and urine ;
 Increased hunger ;
 dizziness ;
 anxiety ;
 Tremor ( shaking) ;
 Muscle stiffness or spasm (including eye movements ) ;
 Problems with speech
 Unusual movement ( especially of the face or tongue) ;
 constipation ;
 Dry mouth ;
 rash ;
 Loss of strength ;
 Extreme tiredness ;
 Water retention, leading to swelling of the hands , ankles or feet;
 At the beginning of treatment , some people may feel dizzy or faint (with a slow heart rate ), especially when getting up from a lying or sitting position. These conditions resolved individually, but if it does not, tell your doctor
 Sexual dysfunctions such as decreased libido in males and females or erectile dysfunction in men.
 
Rare side effects - affects 1 to 10 of 1000 patients:
 Slow heartbeat ;
 Sensitivity to sunlight ;
 Urinary incontinence ;
 hair loss ;
 Absence or decrease in menstrual periods ;
 Changes in breasts in males and females such as an abnormal production of breast milk or abnormal growth .
 
Other possible side effects - the frequency can not be estimated from available data:
 Allergic reaction ( eg swelling in the mouth and throat, itching, rash);
 Diabetes or exacerbation of diabetes occasionally associated with ketoacidosis (ketones in the blood and urine) or coma ;
 Lowering of normal body temperature ;
 Seizures , usually associated with a history of seizures ( epilepsy) ;
 Combination of fever, faster breathing, sweating, muscle stiffness and drowsiness / sleepiness ;
 Spasms of the muscle of the eye causing rolling movement of the eyes ;
 Irregular heart beat;
 Sudden unexplained death ;
 Presence of blood clots such as deep venous thrombosis of the leg or blood clot in the lung ;
 Inflammation of the pancreas causing severe stomach pain, fever and malaise ;
 Liver disease appearing as yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes;
 Muscle disease presenting as unexplained aches and pains ;
 Difficulty in urination ;
 Prolonged and / or painful erection.
 
While taking olanzapine , elderly patients with dementia may suffer from stroke , pneumonia, urinary incontinence, falls, extreme tiredness, visual hallucinations, a rise in body temperature, redness of the skin and have trouble walking . In this particular group of patients has been reported for several fatalities . In patients with Parkinson's disease , OLFREKS can lead to aggravation of symptoms. Rarely women taking medicines of this type for a long period of time have started to secrete milk and have missed periods or irregular periods . If this continues, contact your doctor. Very rarely babies born to mothers who received OLFREKS in late pregnancy ( third trimester ) may have tremors or drowsiness.

5 . HOW TO STORE OLFREX
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Store in the original package
Keep out of reach of children
OLFREKS should be stored in its original packaging to protect from light and moisture
OLFREKS not use after the expiry date stated on the pack .
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required . These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does OLFREX
The active ingredient is olanzapine . OLFREKS Each tablet contains 20 mg of active ingredient.
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, crospovidone , microcrystalline cellulose , magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylcellulose , poly ( vinyl alcohol ) , Titanium Dioxide, Talc , xanthan gum , lecithin, talc.

OLFREX 20 mg film-coated tablets are supplied in blister packs .
Each blister contains 7 tablets.
Each carton contains 28 tablets packed in four (4 ) blister.
