WHAT NOATSID 40 mg AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?

Noatsid 20 mg is a medicine that reduces the production of stomach acid (a selective inhibitor of the proton pump).
 
Pantoprazole is used:
  In combination with antibiotics to treat gastric ulcer and duodentalna. This treatment involves the destruction of Helicobacter pylori, a virulent microorganism cause of ulcers of the stomach and intestines
 
 For the treatment of moderate and severe refliks esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus) and prevent its recurrence.
  To treat stomach ulcers
  For the treatment of duodenal ulcers
  Long-term treatment of conditions in which produce too much stomach acid.
 

 BEFORE YOU TAKE NOATSID 40 mg

 
Do not take Noatsid 40 mg:
  If you are allergic to pantoprazole or to any of the excipients Noatsid.
  If you are taking medicines containing the active substance atazanavir (for the treatment of HIV - infection)
 
Take special care with 40 mg Noatsid
  If you have severe liver disorder, tell your light, who will decide if your dose needs to be adjusted.
  If you have reduced body stores of vitamin B12, please tell your doctor, who will examine the levels of B12.
  If you take 40 ml Noatsid to destroy Helicobacter pylori / with antibiotics / read this also package leaflet of antibiotics.
  If you have recently lost weight or suffer from prolonged vomiting, pain on swallowing or vomiting blood or blood in the stool or very dark stools, you should talk to your doctor. It can make additional diagnostic tests. Also tell your doctor if symptoms persist despite adequate treatment with this medicine.
 
Children under the age of 12:
 
Noatsid 20 mg should not be given to children under 12 years due to lack of experience of its effects in children.
 
Taking other medicines
 
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
 
Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:
 Medicines used to treat fungal infections (eg ketoconazole or itraconazole) and other medications known that levels of concentration in the blood depend on acid secretion in the stomach.
  Medicines for thinning the blood (coumarin derivatives such as warfarin or phenprocoumon), in which case your doctor will monitor the parameters of blood clotting.
  Atazanavir for treatment of HIV infection, which should not take concomitantly with Noatsid 20 mg.
 
Pregnancy and lactation
 
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medications.
 
There are no data on the use of pantoprazole in pregnant women.
 
Driving and operating machinery
 
Noatsid 40 mg did not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
 
However, the occurrence of adverse effects such as dizziness and blurred vision may affect your reactions, which in turn impair your ability to drive or operate machinery.
 
Important information about some of the ingredients of the 40 mg Noatsid
 
If you are told by your doctor that you have intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
 

 HOW TO TAKE NOATSID 40 mg

 
Always take medications exactly as your doctor tells you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
 
Instructions for use:
 
Take 40 mg tablets Noatsid whole (without chewing or breaking the tablet in a little water. If you are taking antibiotics to destroy the bacteria Helicobacter pylori, must take second tablet 40 mg Noatsid before the evening meal.
 
Unless your doctor advises otherwise, the usual dose is:
 
Adults and adolescents aged 13 years and older:
 
Treatment of reflux oesophagitis
 
One gastro-resistant tablet daily. If so far you have not responded to another drug, the dose may occasionally be increased to 2 gastro-resistant tablets.
  

Adults:

 
treatment of duodenal and gastric ulcers to destroy the microbe Helicobacter pylori, and if you have antibiotics:
Recommended following combinations:
Morning - 1 tablet and 1 tablet at night
1000 mg amoxicillin and 1000 mg amoxicillin
 
500 mg clarithromycin and 500 mg clarithromycin
 
or
 
Morning - 1 tablet and 1 tablet at night
 
And 400-500 mg metronidazole 400-500 mg metronidazole
 
250-500 mg clarithromycin and 250-500 mg clarithromycin
or
Morning - 1 tablet and 1 tablet at night
 
1000 mg amoxicillin and 1000 mg amoxicillin
 
And 400-500 mg metronidazole 400-500 mg metronidazole
 
Treatment of duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers
 
One gastro-resistant tablet daily.
 
Long term treatment of patients with conditions which generate too much heartburn. The recommended dose is two tablets are Noatsid 40 ml daily.
 
Patients with severe hepatic impairment
 
 If you are in this group, you should consult your doctor who will decide whether the dosage. As a rule, these patients should be treated with 40 mg Noatsid 40 mg every other day.
 
Patients with impaired renal function
 
If you are in this group of patients should talk to your doctor. However, dose adjustment or change the dose is usually not necessary.
 
Elderly
 
In general, the daily dose of one gastro-resistant tablets should not be exceeded.
 
If you take more than the dose Noatsid
 
There were no reports of overdose in humans. However, if you notice signs of intoxication, inform your doctor. Depending on the dose and type of or-emerging symptoms, the doctor will decide what action to take.
 
If you forget to take Noatsid
 
Do not take a double dose to make up. Take your next dose at the time.
 
If you stop taking 20 mg Noatsid

How long does it take to tablets 40 mg Noatsid
 
If you also make and antibiotics, you should take two tablets Noatsid 40 mg daily for 7 days to a maximum of two weeks. Then you take one tablet daily until complete healing of your ulcer.
 
Duodenal ulcers usually heal within two weeks. If the two-week course of treatment is not sufficient, healing is achieved in almost all cases after two weeks of treatment.
 
For stomach ulcers and reflux esophagitis in most cases need four treatment.
 
If you do not respond to treatment after 4 weeks, you should consult your doctor.
 

 POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

 
Like all medicines, Noatsid 20 mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
 
Serious side effects
 
Stop taking Noatsid 20 mg immediately and see your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:
  Swelling of the face, tongue and throat;
  Difficulty in swallowing;
  Skin reactions with blistering or ulceration, and urticaria;
  Difficulty in breathing;
  Severe dizziness with rapid heart beat and sweating.
 
Other possible side effects
 
Common side effects - headache, upper abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, ulcers, and gas.
Uncommon side effects
 
Dizziness and visual disturbances such as blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, and allergic reactions.
 
Rare
Dry mouth, joint pain, depression, hallucinations
