WHAT IS AND WHAT NEORISP

Tablets in blister PVC / aluminum foil, packed in carton containing patient information leaflet.
 
Each tablet contains 4 mg of the active ingredient risperidone
 
Neorisp is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of patients with schizophrenia - the first psychotic episode, relapse, chronic schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions in which positive symptoms / as hallucinations, delusions, impaired thinking, hostility, suspiciousness / and / or negative symptoms are bright expressed. Neorisp also alleviates affective symptoms associated with schizophrenia. Moreover Neorisp is also indicated for the long-term treatment to prevent relapse in patients with chronic infection.
 

BEFORE YOU TAKE NEORISP

 
Do not take the following conditions:
 
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients in the tablet.
 
Special considerations for treatment NEORISP
 
Due to the alpha-blocking activity of the active ingredient risperidone may occur lower blood pressure upon standing, especially during the initial period of dose adjustment. Neorisp should be used with caution in patients with known cardiovascular disease, and the dose should be adjusted gradually, as recommended by your doctor. At the onset of hypotension should consider reducing the dose
The use of classical neuroleptics have been described cases of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, characterized by hyperthermia, muscle rigidity, autonomic instability, altered consciousness and elevated CPK. In this case, all antipsychotic drugs should be stopped.
 
Caution is also required when prescribing Peopisp of patients with Parkinson's disease, since it is theoretically possible to cause deterioration of the disease.
 
In studies in elderly patients with dementia treated concomitantly with furosemide and medicinal products containing the active ingredient risperidone, there is a higher mortality compared to treatment with only risperidone administration or self-administration of furosemide.
 
 
Pregnancy and lactation

The safety of risperidone for use during pregnancy etc and man has not been established. For this reason Neorisp should be used during pregnancy only if the benefit outweighs the risks.
 
It was found that risperidone is excreted in human milk. Therefore, women receiving Neoresp should not breastfeed.

Schizophrenia
