In the brain , 5-hydroxy , in turn is converted to serotonin - a substance that transmits nerve signals between brain cells .

Serotonin is known as the " happiness hormone " .

The additional administration of 5- hydroxytryptophan in the form of a tablet increases the levels of serotonin in the brain , thus improving conditions associated with low levels of serotonin , without causing side effects , unlike other drugs for these conditions.

2 . ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Sleep problems have various causes , but ultimately due again imbalance of chemicals in the brain. The title substance , which determines the onset and duration of sleep is melatonin , but melatonin levels in the brain and the sensitivity of the brain structures to melatonin on serotonin levels .

Serotonin plays a role in sleep quality. At high levels of serotonin prolonged phase of deep sleep, allowing the brain recovers and one feels refreshed and rested at the expense of less important preparatory stages of sleep . While the compositions containing melatonin have certain benefits in elderly patients , melatonin levels are low , the younger people insomnia and sleep respond to a much greater extent than the serotonin levels , respectively, of 5 - hydroxytryptophan .

1.3. Anxiety and restlessness

Anxiety and restlessness are also caused by low serotonin levels , so by increasing the levels of these conditions are improved significantly to extinction .

1.5. obesity

During the diet , the level of tryptophan in the blood and brain serotonin levels significantly. These low serotonin levels in obese patients cause a strong desire for carbs , especially sweets, and subsequent overeating.

The intake of 5 - hydroxytryptophan during and after diet increases the levels of serotonin , which leads to early satiety , in adherence to the diet , overeating and weight loss .

1.6. fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by fatigue, pain in muscles , joints and tendons and multiple sensitivity over the body, most often with low levels of serotonin.

The use of 5- hydroxytryptophan improves and helps control the symptoms of fibromyalgia in the absence of side effects.
