What Molaxol and what it is used?
Molaxol helps you to have a comfortable bowel movement even if you have constipation for a long time. Molaksol act in strong constipation (called fecal impaction ) .
Macrogol 3350 increases the volume of the stool by attracting water , leading to a normalization of the motility in the colon. Physiological consequences are increased movement of the softened stools and facilitate defecation . The salts in the composition help to maintain normal balance of salt and water in the body.
2 . What you should know before taking Molaxol ?
Do not take Molaksol :
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the active substances macrogol, sodium chloride, potassium chloride or sodium bicarbonate or any of the ingredients of drugegge Molaksol .
if you have any obstruction in the intestine , the intestinal wall or perforated disease accompanied by an acute inflammation of the intestine such as ulcerative colitis , Crohn's disease , toxic megacolon or ileus .
Warnings and Precautions
- If you experience weakness, shortness of breath, extreme thirst with headache, you have heart failure or get swollen ankles , stop taking Molaksol and tell your doctor immediately .
If you forget to take Molaksol
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4 . Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Molaxol can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them .
Very common (affecting more than 1 in 10 patients) : pain and stomach cramps , diarrhea, vomiting , nausea, gurgling in the stomach and gastro- intestinal gas .
Common (affecting up to 1 in 10 patients): itching, headache , swollen hands, feet or ankles. Uncommon (affecting up to 1 in 100 patients): skin rash, stomach upset and bloated stomach.
Very rare (affecting up to 1 in 10,000 patients): severe allergic reactions that cause difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you develop any of these symptoms , tell your doctor immediately and stop taking Molaksol . Allergic reactions (eg , skin reactions and runny nose) , high and low levels of potassium in the blood and discomfort in the anus.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet , please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
§. How to store Molaxol ?
Keep out of reach of children.
Molaksol not use after the expiry date stated on the sachet and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
The product does not require any special temperature storage conditions. Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
The reconstituted solution can be stored tightly sealed in a refrigerator ( 2 ° C- 8 ° C). Any unused solution within 6 hours should be discarded.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required . These measures will help to protect the environment.

The active substances are : Macrogol 3350 ( polyethylene glycol 3350 ) g of sodium chloride 13D25 350,7 mg, sodium hydrogencarbonate 178,5 mg, potassium chloride 46,6 mg.
The other ingredients are: acesulfame potassium ( E950 ) ( sweetener ) and flavored with lemon flavor .
