Bifidobacteria (probiotic bacteria) normally present in the gastrointestinal tract are called intestinal microflora. They maintain a healthy acid-base balance required for normal functioning of the digestive vnzimi, stop the growth of harmful bacteria affect intestinal environment movements (peristalsis) and promote the development of the immune system.
A healthy balance of intestinal microflora can be affected by many factors such as viral and bacterial intestinal infections (napr.rotavirusni infections), antibiotics or incorrect diet.
