LEVOKSA WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?

Levoksa is a synthetic antibacterial agent of the fluoroquinolone group. Levoksa be used in infections caused by bacteria chuvstitelni to this medicine. Some infections against which the tablets can be used are sinus infections, inflammation of the lungs, urinary tract infections, skin and prostate.
 

BEFORE YOU TAKE LEVOKSA

 
Do not take Levoksa:
 If you are allergic to levofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics, or to any of the excipients Levoksa;
  If you suffer from epilepsy;
  If in the past after administration of an antibiotic from the group of fluoroquinolones have had damage to tendons;
  If you are pregnant or Kermit
  Children and adolescents
 
Take special care with Levoksa if:
 
During treatment Levoksa exposure to strong sunlight for indefinite periods of time or use of lamp or solarium exposure. This is done to reduce the risk of developing skin sensitivity to light in some patients taking Levoksa.
 The product should be used with caution in patients with hypersensitivity reactions, hypoglycemia, peripheral neuropathy, hepatobiliary disorders.
 
In rare cases Levoksa can cause pain and inflammation of the tendons, especially in elderly patients. Upon occurrence of pain in the tendons during or after taking the tablet, immediately consult a doctor and keep at rest the affected limb to prevent the tendon from damage.
The risk of getting seizures is increased if you have brain damage. In case of an outbreak of bloody diarrhea during or after treatment with Levoksa immediately consult a doctor. This may be a sign of acute inflammation of the intestines that may occur after treatment with antibiotics.
 
Because of the risk of developing hemolytic anemia as a result of breakdown of red blood cells after administration of antibacterial quinolones, the product should be used with caution in patients with manifest or hidden deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
 
Need dose adjustment in patients with Levoksa kidney, as the product is eliminated through the urine.
 
Pregnancy and lactation
 
Levoksa Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
 
Important information about some of the ingredients Levoksa
 
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine as it contains lactose Levoksa.
 

HOW TO TAKE LEVOKSA

 
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of infection. The usual dose is one or two tablets a day. Treatment should last no longer than 28 days.
 
Patients with impaired renal function require lower doses than patients with normal renal activity.
 
The tablets can be taken with meals or between meals. Take the tablet with a glass of water.
 

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

 
Common - nausea, diarrhea, changes in blood tests related to liver disease
 
Uncommon - an increase of resistant micro-organisms, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, sleep disturbances, loss of appetite, vomiting, stomach pain and indigestion, itching, rash, changes in blood tests associated with renal impairment; easy fatigue and physical weakness
 
Rare - reduced platelet involuntary chills, progressive countries, extremely depressed condition / depression /, confusion, rapid pulse, low blood pressure, bloody diarrhea, itching and skin rash, pain in joints and muscles
 
Very rare - neutrotsiti substantially reduced, partial loss of sensation, reduced skin sensitivity to sunlight, rupture of tendons, muscle weakness, fever
  
Isolated cases: severe rash associated with blistering, reduction of red blood cells due to violation of the cells, reducing the number of all blood cells, abnormal heart beat, which leads to an abnormal heart rhythm, muscle reactions in violation of muscle cells
