KLIMOKS WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Klimoks is an antibiotic and works by killing bacteria that cause infections.
Contains two different medicines called amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.
Amoxicillin belongs to a group of medicines called "penicillins" that action
can sometimes be stopped from working (made inactive). The other active component (clavulanic
acid) prevents this from happening.
Klimoks is used in adults and children for the treatment of the following infections:
• sinus infections
• urinary tract infections
• skin infections
• dental infections.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE KLIMOKS
Do not take Klimoks:
• if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid,
penicillin or any of the other ingredients of Klimoks (listed in section 6).
if you have had a severe allergic reaction (hypersensitivity reaction) to any
another antibiotic. This can include a skin rash or swelling of the face or neck

• if you have liver problems or jaundice (yellowing of the skin) during
of treatment with an antibiotic.
Do not take Klimoks if any of the above statements apply to
You. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before
accept Klimoks.
Take special care with Klimoks
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this
medicine if you:
• suffer from infectious mononucleosis
• are being treated for liver or kidney problems
• Do not urinate regularly.
If you are not sure if any of the above statements apply to you, talk to
Your doctor or pharmacist before you start taking Klimoks.
In some cases, your doctor may investigate the type of bacteria that is causing your
infection. Depending on the results, you will be given a different strength
Klimoks or other medicine.
Conditions you need to look
Klimoks can some existing conditions worse or cause serious side
reactions. These include allergic reactions, convulsions (seizures), and inflammatory bowel disease.
You should watch for certain symptoms while taking Klimoks to reduce the risk of
any problems.
Blood and urine
If your blood tests (such as tests for the condition of the red blood
cells or liver function tests) or urine (glucose)
Tell your doctor or nurse that you are taking Klimoks. This is because
Klimoks can affect the results of these types of studies.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken
other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription and herbal medicines.
If taking allopurinol (used for the treatment of gout) with Klimoks may be
more likely to have an allergic skin reaction.
If you are taking probenecid (used for gout), your doctor may decide to
adjust your dose Klimoks.
If drugs that prevent blood clots (such as warfarin) are
taken together with Klimoks may need extra blood
Research.
Klimoks can affect the manner in which the methotrexate (a drug that is
used for the treatment of rheumatic diseases or cancer).

Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or nursing, please tell your doctor
or pharmacist.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Driving and using machines
Klimoks can cause side effects and symptoms can affect
your ability to drive.
Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are feeling well.
3. HOW TO TAKE KLIMOKS
Always take Klimoks, just as you have been told by your doctor. If you are not sure

Adults and children weighing 40 kg or more
500 mg/125 mg film-coated tablets
The usual dose is:
• 1 tablet three times daily.
Patients with kidney or liver problems
• If you have kidney problems, the dose can be changed. Your doctor
You can select different strength or a different medicine.
• If you have liver problems can often make you blood
tests to check how your liver.
How to take Klimoks
• Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water at the beginning of a meal or slightly
first
• Space the doses at regular intervals during the day, at least 4
hours. Do not take two doses in one hour
• Do not take Klimoks for more than 2 weeks. If you still
feel good, you go back to see your doctor.
If you take more dose Klimoks
If you take more than the amount Klimoks, signs may include
stomach problems (nausea, vomiting or diarrhea) or convulsions. Talk to your
doctor as soon as possible. Take the carton or bottle of the medicinal
product to show the doctor.
If you forget to take Klimoks
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. You should not take
next dose too soon and have to wait about four hours before you accept it.
If you stop taking Klimoks
Continue to take Klimoks until the treatment is finished, even if you feel
better. You need every dose to help fight infection. If some bacteria survive they
can again cause infection.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, please
ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
As with all medications, Klimoks can cause side effects, although not every
gets them.
Conditions you need to look
Allergic reactions:
• skin rash
• inflammation of the blood vessels (vasculitis) which may occur as
red or purple raised spots on the skin, but can affect other parts
body
• fever, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes in the
neck, armpit or groin
• swelling, sometimes of the face or mouth (angioedema), causing difficulty
breathing
• fainting.
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. Stop
taking Klimoks.
Inflammatory bowel disease
Inflammation of the colon, causing watery diarrhea usually with blood and mucus,
Stomach pain and / or fever.
Ask your doctor for advice as soon as possible if you get these
symptoms.
Very common side effects
These may affect more than 1 in 10 patients
• diarrhea (in adults).

Common side effects
These may affect up to 1 in 10 patients
• thrush (caused by candida - a yeast infection of the vagina, mouth
or skin folds)
• nausea, especially at high doses
if you have any problems, take before meals Klimoks
• vomiting
• diarrhea (in children).
Uncommon side effects
These may affect up to 1 in 100 patients
• skin rash, itching
• raised itchy rash (hives)
• indigestion
• dizziness
• headache.
Uncommon side effects that may occur in your blood tests:
• increased levels of certain substances (enzymes) produced by the liver.
Rare side effects
These may affect up to 1 in 1000 patients
• skin rash with blisters and small round spots with a central dark area
surrounded by a bright field and dark loop - erythema multiforme
If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your doctor.
Rare side effects that may occur in your blood tests:
• reducing the number of cells involved in blood clotting
• reducing the number of white blood cells.
Other side effects
Other side effects have occurred in a very small number of people but their exact
frequency is unknown.
• Allergic reactions (see above)
• Inflammatory bowel disease (see above)
• Serious skin reactions:
- A widespread rash with blisters and peeling skin, particularly around the mouth, nose,
eyes and genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), and a more severe form
causing extensive peeling of the skin (more than 30% of the body
surface - toxic epidermal necrolysis)
- Widespread red skin rash with tiny blisters containing pus
(Bullous exfoliative dermatitis)
- Red, scaly rash with blisters and lumps (exanthemous pustulosis).
Immediately contact your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

inflammation of the liver (hepatitis)
jaundice caused by increases of bilirubin (a substance which is
produced in the liver) in the blood. Consequently, the skin and the whites of your eyes may
look yellow
• inflammation of the kidney tubules
• delay blood clotting
• hyperactivity
• convulsions (in people taking high doses Klimoks or in people with kidney problems)
• black tongue which looks "hairy"
• color of the teeth (in children), which is normally removed by rinsing the
teeth.
Side effects that may occur in the blood or urine:
• significantly reduce the numbers of white blood cells
• reduced number of red blood cells (hemolytic anemia)
• crystals in urine.
If you get side effects
If any of the side effects gets severe or troublesome, or
you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your
doctor or pharmacist.
5. STORAGE Klimoks
Keep out of the reach of children.
Klimoks not use after the expiry date stated on the label
Not require any special storage conditions.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will
help protect the environment.

What does Klimoks
The active ingredients of the film-coated tablets are:
Klimoks 500 mg/125 mg
• 500 mg of amoxicillin in the form of amoxycillin trihydrate
• 125 mg of clavulanic kiselinapod form of potassium clavulanate
Other ingredients which are contained in the film-coated tablets are: cellulose, microcrystalline (Avicel PH101); sodium starch glycolate (type A); silica, colloidal anhydrous; magnesium stearate, methylene chloride, alcohol izoprpilov; White Opadry 06B58855 IHS (in the compilation that comes hypromellose 5 cp (E464), titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol PEG 400 ihipromeloza cp 15 (E464)).
