What Kandekard H and what it is used?
Candesartan cilexetil belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin II. These drugs work by expanding blood vessels, the heart can more easily pump blood through them.
Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a group of medicines called diuretics. It acts by enhancing urinary excretion of sodium, chloride and water, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure.
H Kandekard tablets are used:
to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) when alone candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide is not enough.
Before you take Kandekard H
Do not take Kandekard H if:
you are allergic (hypersensitive) to candesartan cilexetil, hydrochlorothiazide drug-derived sulfonamides or to any of the ingredients of the medication
have severe liver or biliary obstruction (problems with drainage of bile from the gall bladder)
have severe kidney disease
you are pregnant than 3 months
have low blood calcium or high calcium levels in the blood
If you are pregnant after the third month. (You should also avoid the use of H Kandekard and early pregnancy - see. Section "Pregnancy and lactation").
Kandekard H should not be given to children.
If you think any of these apply to you, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take special care with Kandekard H
Before you take Kandekard H, tell your doctor if:
have heart problems, liver or kidney
if you have had a stroke
you have recently had a kidney transplant
you are on dialysis
have low blood pressure
vomit, have recently vomited or have diarrhea
suffer from a disease of the adrenal gland
(Conn's syndrome or hyperaldosteronism)
need surgery because Kandekard H can cause a drop in blood pressure when combined with anesthetics
You should tell your doctor if you are pregnant or may become pregnant. Kandekard H is not recommended in early pregnancy, and must be taken within 3 months of pregnancy because it may cause serious harm to your baby if used at that stage (see section "Pregnancy and lactation").
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes herbal medicines and medicines obtained without a prescription. Kandekard H may affect the way other medicines and other medicines can affect Kandekard N. If you are taking certain medications, you may need your doctor to occasionally do blood tests.
In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:
other medicines that help lower your blood pressure, including ACE inhibitors such as enaparil, kaptoril, or lizonopril ramipiril
medicines such as ibuprofen, naproxen or diclofenac, known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVL)
drugs such as celecoxib or etoricoxib, known as COX-2 inhibitors
aspirin if you are taking more than 3 g dail
potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium
heparin (blood-thinning drugs)
Water tablets (diuretics)
lithium (a medicine used to treat mania or depression).
Taking Kandekard H with food and drink
It is recommended not to drink alcohol during treatment with H Kandekard as these two substances can mutually reinforce their effects.
Pregnancy and lactation
You should tell your doctor if you think you are (or might become) pregnant. Usually your doctor will advise you to stop taking Kandekard H before you become pregnant or as soon as you know you are pregnant and will prescribe another medicine instead Kandekard N. Taking H Kandekard not recommended during early pregnancy and after 3 months of pregnancy because it may cause serious harm to your baby at this time.
Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding or about to start breast-feeding. Kandekard H is not recommended for nursing mothers, so your doctor may choose another treatment for you if you wish to breast-feed, especially if your baby is newborn, or was born prematurely.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Driving and operating machinery
Unlikely Kandekard H concentration affect you, but you may feel dizzy or weak because of lower blood pressure, especially at the beginning of treatment or when increasing the dose. If this happens, you may be affected your ability to drive or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Kandekard H
Lactose is one of the ingredients of this medicine. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars before taking this medicine, you should consult your doctor.
How to take Kandekard
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor tells you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Usual doses Kandekard H are as follows:
The recommended dose is one tablet once daily.
The dose of candesartan cilexetil should adjust carefully before switching to the tablets. Where appropriate, your doctor may decide to direct change from monotherapy to the tablets. Maximum antihypertensive effect is usually achieved within 4 weeks of treatment.
Use in the elderly:
I do not need any initial dosage adjustment in elderly patients.
Use in patients with intravascular volume depletion:
In patients with increased risk of low blood pressure, especially dehydration, your doctor will determine the dose. These patients may provide a starting dose of 4 mg candesartan cilexetil.
Use in impaired renal function
Patients with babrpechni problems should be checked before treatment with H Kandekard to determine the correct dose. In patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, the recommended starting dose of candesartan cilexetil is 4 ml.
Kandekard H should not be used in patients with severe renal impairment.
Use in hepatic impairment:
Patients with mild to moderate liver problems should be checked before treatment with Kandekard N. The recommended starting dose of candesartan cilexetil in these patients is 2 mg. Kandekard H should not be used in patients with severe hepatic impairment and / or cholestasis.
Take your / your tablet / and a glass of water, preferably at the same time every day, before or during a meal.
Kandekard H is not suitable for use by children.
Patients who are about surgery:
These tablets in combination with certain anesthetics can cause a drop in blood pressure, so before surgery tell your doctor that you are taking this medicine.
If you take more than the amount of H Kandekard
If you (or someone else) take more tablets than you should immediately contact the nearest emergency room or call your doctor. The most likely effect of overdose is low blood pressure. If there is a significant decrease in blood pressure (may show symptoms such as dizziness or faintness) can help if you stand in the supine position with legs raised.
However, if symptoms are severe, take with you this leaflet, any remaining tablets and the container and take them to the hospital or your doctor to know what these tablets you take.
If you forget to take Kandekard H
It is important to take your medicine every day. However, if you forget to take one or more doses, take it as soon as you remember and then continue its normal mode. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you stop taking Kandekard H
Always consult your doctor if you should stop taking this medicine. You may need to continue taking this medication even if you feel well.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Kandekard H can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
These side effects occur very rarely (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people). However, if you notice any of these side effects, contact your doctor immediately:
swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, eyes or throat
difficulty in breathing
dizziness or fainting
These are symptoms of a serious reaction, which must be treated immediately, usually in a hospital.
Contact your doctor immediately in case of:
jaundice (yellowing of the skin and / or eyes)
Other possible side effects: Common (affects less than 1 in 10 people):
dizziness, dizziness (vertigo)
headaches, respiratory infections
low blood pressure
increased levels of potassium in your blood, especially if you already suffer from kidney problems or heart failure

Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people):
back pain, joints and muscles
skin rash, hives
