Januvia helps to improve the levels of insulin after a meal and decreases the amount of sugar in the body . Is unlikely to cause low blood sugar because it does not work when your blood sugar is low. However, when Yanuviya used in combination with sulfonylureas or insulin may experience low blood sugar levels .
Your doctor has prescribed Yanuviya to help you lower your blood sugar is too high because you have type 2 diabetes. Yanuviya can be used alone or in combination with certain other medicines that lower blood sugar, which you may already be taking for your diabetes together with a diet and exercise.

What is type 2 diabetes ?
Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which your body does not produce enough insulin, and the insulin that your body does not doystva as well as it should. Your body can also make too much sugar . Take special care with Januvia :
Patients receiving Januvia been reported inflammation of the pancreas. Pancreatitis can be a serious, potentially life-threatening disease. Stop taking Januvia and contact your doctor if you experience severe and persistent stomach pain, with with or without vomiting , because you could have pantreatit .
Tell your doctor if you have or have had:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Panktreatit , gallstones , alcoholism or very high triglycerides. These diseases may increase the chance of getting pancreatitis , or getting it again .
- Any kidney problems , or any medical problems - past or present . If you have kidney problems, Yanuviya may not be the right medicine .
- Allergic reaction to Januvia .

Taking other medicines:
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking or have recently taken .

Taking Januvia with food and drink :
 You can take Yanuviya with or without food and drink .

Pregnancy and lactation :
Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult their doctor before taking Yanuviya . You should not use Januvia during pregnancy .
It is not known whether Yanuviya passes into breast milk . Should not be used if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed .

Driving and using machines:
It is not known Januvia to affect the ability to drive and use machines. However, when driving or operating machines, it should be aware that they have reported dizziness and drowsiness.

How to take Januvia ?
The usual dose is:
- One tablet of 100 mg
- Once a day
- In the mouth.
Your doctor may prescribe Januvia alone or with other medicines that lower blood sugar.

Continue to take Januvia long as your doctor prescribes it so you can continue to control your blood sugar.
Diet and exercise can help your body use its blood sugar better . While taking Yanuviya is important to stay on a diet and exercise program for weight loss recommended by your doctor.

If you take more than you should :
Tell your doctor immediately .

If you forget to take Januvia :
Take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember until it is time for your next dose , skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule . Do not take a double dose.

Undesirable effects :
Some patients adding sitagliptin to metformin experienced the following side effects:
Common - nausea
Uncommon - weight loss, loss of appetite , abdominal pain, diarrhea, low blood sugar, drowsiness.
Some patients adopting Yanuviya in combination with a sulphonylurea the following reactions :
Common - low blood sugar
Some patients adopting Yanuviya sulfaniluriya in combination with metformin , the following side effects :
Very common - low blood sugar
Common - constipation

Some patients adopting Yanuviya and pioglitazone following reactions :
Common - low blood sugar and flatulence . In addition, some patients have reported foot swelling while taking Yanuviya and pioglitazone. These side effects may be seen with sitagliptin and any glitazone .
Some patients have experienced the following side effects while taking Yanuviya in combination with rosiglitazone and metformin :
Common - glovobolie , cough , diarrhea, vomiting, low blood sugar, fungal skin infection, upper respiratory infection, swelling of hands and feet.
Some potsienti the following side effects while taking Yanuviya in combination with insulin :
Common - headache, low blood sugar and flu
Uncommon - dry mouth, constipation
Some patients receiving only Yanuviya receive :
Common - low blood sugar, headache
Uncommon - dizziness, constipation

In addition, some patients have reported the following effects while taking Yanuviya :
Common - upper respiratory infections duck , stuffy or runny nose and sore throat, osteoarthritis, arm or leg.

Additional information:
The active substance is sitagliptin. Each tablet contains sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate, equivalent to 100 mg sitagliptin.
Other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose , calcium phosphate dibasic anhydrous , croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate , sodium stearyl fumarate.
The film coating contains : polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol , talc , titanium dioxide , iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow .
