IRBESAN 150 mg. 28 tablets
The name of your medicine is Irbesan 150 mg film-coated tablets. Each tablet contains 150 mg of the active substance irbesartan.
Irbesartan belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin-II receptor.
Angiotensin-II is formed in the body and bind to the receptors in the blood vessels, causing them to tighten. This leads to an increase in blood pressure. Irbesartan prevents the binding of angiotensin-II to these receptors, causing the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
Irbesan 150 mg film-coated tablets are used for:
Treatment of hypertension (essential hypertension);
Prevention of renal disease in patients with hypertension and Type 2 diabetes.
2. What you need to know before taking Irbesan 150 mg film-coated tablets
Do not take Irbesan 150 mg film-coated tablets
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to irbesartan or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);

Take special care before taking Irbesan 150 mg film-coated tablets:
If you have excessive vomiting or diarrhea;

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
