WHAT HIDRASEC AND WHAT IT IS USED
Hidrasec contains an active substance called ratsekadogril. It acts on the intestinal wall and inhibits the increased separation of fluid and salts caused by inflammation. Racecadotril exercise fast antidiarrheal effect without changing the length of the passage through the digestive tract.
Applied as an additional symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in infants (over three months) and children when rehydration orally and the usual accompanying measures are insufficient to control the clinical condition.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE HIDRASEC
You should not apply this medicine to your child if:
it has known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients;
if suffering from fructose intolerance, glucose malabsorption syndrome and failure of sucrose-isomaltase, as granules contain sugar.
If you are not sure whether the above things apply to you, ask your doctor!

Take special care with HIDRASEC
Drug administration does not alter the normal mode of recovery of liquids. For children it is important to drink plenty of fluids.
Please contact your doctor if:
your child has a severe and prolonged diarrhea and it is accompanied by vomiting and lack of appetite;
there is the presence of blood and pus in the stool of your child, which may mean a bacterial infection or other serious illness.
If your child suffers from diabetes, please note that each sachet Hidrasek 30 mg granules contains 2.899 g of sucrose 3g granules. If the amount of the sucrose (a source of glucose and fructose) in the daily dose of the drug exceeded 5 g daily, it should be taken into account for the daily dose of sugar.
Do not use the drug in infants under 3 months, as no clinical data from studies in this population.
The medicinal product must not be used in children with renal or hepatic impairment, regardless of the degree of severity, due to lack of information about such patient populations.
The medicinal product should not be administered to patients with prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor if your child is taking any medications!
No interactions with other drugs in humans.

Pregnancy and lactation
Please tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant!
The drug is intended for infants and children up to 3 years of age.

3. HOW TO USE HIDRASEC
Always Hidrasek exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Hidrasek administered orally with concomitant administration of fluids.
The recommended daily dose is determined by weight, based on 1.5 mg / kg per dose given at the beginning and followed by 3, evenly distributed over the entire day.
The duration of treatment should not be more than 7 days.
The granules may be added to food or dissolved in a glass of water or in a baby bottle until the contents dissolve well, to follow immediately swallowed.
No data are available for infants under 3 months.

Special groups
No data for use in infants or children with kidney or liver failure.

If you give more than the amount HIDRASEC
If you give more than Hidrasec should contact your doctor immediately or go to the hospital, as you carry with you the pack.

If you forget to use Hidrasek
If you forget to give your child a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the January Do not give a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Apply the medicine for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop taking it just because your child feels better.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following adverse reactions listed below have occurred more frequently with racecadotril or have been reported during postmarketing surveillance.

The frequency of adverse reactions is categorized based on the following convention: very common (> 1/10), common (> 1/100 to <1/10), Uncommon (> 1 / 1,000 to <1/100), rare ( > 1 / 10,000 to <1 / 1,000), very rare (<1 / 10,000), unknown (can not be assessed on the basis of available data).

Infections and infestations:
Uncommon - inflammation of the tonsils (tonsillitis).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Uncommon - rash, redness (erythema);
Unknown - a special kind of redness (erythema multiforme), swelling of the tongue, swelling of the face, lips, eyelids, swelling of vascular origin, urticaria, erythema nodosum, rash, itchy skin changes, persistent itching.

5. HOW TO STORE HIDRASEC
No special storage conditions.
Shelf life - 2 (two) years. HIDRASEC should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
