WHAT HIDRASEC AND WHAT IT IS USED
Hidrasec contains an active substance called racecadotril. It acts on the intestinal wall and inhibits the increased separation of fluid and salts caused by inflammation. Racecadotril exercise fast antidiarrheal effect without changing the length of the passage through the digestive tract.
Applied as an additional symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in infants (over three months) and children when rehydration orally and the usual accompanying measures are insufficient to control the clinical condition.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE HIDRASEC
You do not have to use this medicine if your child:
it has a known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients;
if you are suffering from fructose intolerance, glucose malabsorption syndrome and failure zaharoza-isomaltese as granules contain sugar.
If you are not sure whether the above things apply to you, ask your doctor!

Take special care with HIDRASEC
The implementation of the drug does not alter normal mode of recovery of liquids. For children it is important to drink plenty of fluids.

Please contact your doctor if:
your child has a severe and prolonged diarrhea and it is accompanied by vomiting and lack of appetite;
is present in blood and pus stool your child, which can mean a bacterial infection, or other serious illness.
If your child suffers from diabetes, please note that each sachet Hidrasek 10 mg granules containing 0.966 g to 1 g of sucrose pellets. If the amount of the sucrose (a source of glucose and fructose) in the daily dose of the drug exceeded 5 g daily, it should be taken into account for the daily dose of sugar.
Do not use the drug in infants under 3 months since there is no data from clinical studies in this population.
The medicinal product must not be used in children with renal or hepatic impairment, regardless of their degree of seriousness, due to lack of information about such patient populations.
The medicinal product should not be administered to patients with prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor if your child is taking any medications!
No interactions with other drugs in humans.

Pregnancy and lactation
Please tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant!
The drug is intended for infants and children up to 3 years of age.

The drug is intended for infants and children up to 3 years of age.

3. HOW TO USE HIDRASEC
Always Hidrasek just as you have been told by your doctor. If you are not sure ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Hidrasek administered orally with concomitant administration of fluids.
The recommended daily dose is determined by weight, based on 1.5 mg / kg per dose given at baseline and followed by three, equally distributed over the day.
The duration of treatment should not be more than seven days.
The granules can be added to food or dissolved in a glass of water or in a baby bottle until the contents dissolve well, to follow immediately swallowed.
No data for use in infants under 3 months.

Special groups
No data for use in infants or children with kidney or liver failure.

If you give more than the amount Hidrasek
If you give more than Hidrasek should contact your doctor or go immediately to the hospital as carry your medicine pack.

If you forget to Hidrasek
If you forget to give your child a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip January Do not give a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Apply the medicine for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop taking it just because your child feels better.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects listed below have occurred more frequently with racecadotril or have been reported during postmarketing surveillance.
The incidence of adverse reactions is categorized based on the following: very common (> 1/10), common (> 1/100, <1/10), Uncommon (> 1 / 1,000 to <1/100), rare ( > 1 / 10,000 to <1 / 1,000), very rare (<1 / 10,000), unknown (can not be estimated on the basis of available data).

Infections and infestations:
Uncommon - tonsillitis (tonsillitis).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Uncommon - rash, redness (erythema);
Unknown - a special kind of redness (erythema multiforme), swelling of the tongue, swelling of the face, lips, eyelids, swelling of vascular origin, urticaria, erythema nodosum, rash, itchy skin changes, persistent itching.

5. HOW TO STORE HIDRASEC
No special storage conditions.
Shelf life - 2 (two) years. Hidrasek should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What Hidrasec
Each sachet contains the active substance 10 mg of racecadotril.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, silica colloidal polyacrylate dispersion 30 percent aroma of apricot.

Hidrasec looks like and contents of the pack
Hidrasec 10 mg granules for oral suspension are white color and characteristic aroma of apricot in sachets of paper / aluminum / polyethylene; 10 and 16 pieces in a box. Pack of 10 sachets number is not available on the market.
