HEPCARSIL 45 mg. 40 capsules
Hepcarsil is a medicinal product whose active substance Silymarin has a plant origin. Acting on stabilizing cell membranes of liver cells restores their structure and stimulates the metabolism in them, and in particular that of proteins and carbohydrates (glycogen and glycoproteins). As a result of this action, Hepcarsil significantly improves hepatic dysfunction.
Hepcarsil apply for the symptomatic treatment of chronic toxic liver injury, for maintenance treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver or liver cirrhosis.
2. Before you take Hepcarsil
Do not take Hepcarsil:
- If you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the ingredients of Hepcarsil.
Take special care with Hepcarsil:
- Do not use in children under the '12, due to lack of data for this age group.
- When taking the drug to avoid the causes of damage to the liver, like alcohol.
Taking other medicines:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. So far there are no known adverse interactions with other drugs.
Taking Hepcarsil with food and drink:
There are no known interactions with foods and drinks.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Only your doctor can assess the need for treatment in such conditions.
Driving and using machines
Hepcarsil not affect alertness and reflexes when driving and persons working with machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients Hepcarsil
The capsules contain a coloring agent E 122, which may cause allergic reactions.
3. How to take Hepcarsil?
If your doctor recommends otherwise, the usual dose is 3 times 1 capsule daily. The capsules are taken unchewed with some liquid.
On the recommendation of the physician, the product can be taken 3 times 2 capsules daily. The duration of the treatment course is no less than 3 months. For long-term treatment daily dose is two capsules daily. If complaints continue, seek medical advice again. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take more dose Hepcarsil
In rare cases, adverse reactions may occur in an enhanced form. In such cases, seek doctor to symptomatic treatment.
If you forget to take Hepcarsil
Do not take a double dose to make up the missed dose. Back to your regular schedule.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Hepcarsil can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. May occur vestibular disorders.
Very rarely Silymarin can cause stomach pain and diarrhea, and even more rarely allergic reactions - skin rashes and itching. Rarely observed strengthening of existing vestibular disorders (vertigo). If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. How to store Hepcarsil?
Keep Hepcarsil in original packaging in a dry and dark place at a temperature below 25 ° C.
Keep out of reach of children!
Hepcarsil not use after the expiry date stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
6. Further information
Active substance: Milk thistle dry fruit extract 70-90 mg, corresponding to 45 mg Silymarin.
The other ingredients are mannitol, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, colloidal anhydrous silica, pregelatinized starch, povidone, polysorbate 80, talc, magnesium stearate.
Composition of the capsule shell: Azorubine (E122), patent blue (E131) titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.
