For what purpose capsules Gordius and how does it work?
Gordius capsules are used to treat some forms of epilepsy as well as certain types of pain . They exert effects by reducing the ability of nerve cells to be stimulated . Gordius can be used alone ( monotherapy ) in adults and children with epilepsy aged 12 years old. It can be used as adjunctive therapy in children with epilepsy aged 3-12 years. Gordius is not effective in all forms of epilepsy, and therefore should only be used as prescribed by a specialist.
2 . What drug and excipients contained in the capsules Gordius ?
Drug - 300mg gabapentin.
Filling - lactose monohydrate , pregelatinized starch , talc , magnesium stearate.
Capsule - red iron oxide ( E172 ) , yellow iron oxide (E 172) , titanium dioxide ( E171 ) , gelatin .
3 . When you should be taking the capsules Gordius ?
Gordius capsules should be taken in case of hypersensitivity to any component or in cases of inflammation of the pancreas ( pancreatitis) .

Day 3: The daily dose of 900mg , i.e., three times a 300mg capsule Gordius .
Then from 4 days : The daily dose can be increased to 1200mg .
In some cases
You may need to further increase the dose to achieve the desired effect.
Your doctor may advise you to raise your dose in small increments (for example, in patients in poor general condition, with low body weight or after transplantation) .
The doctor may prescribe a different dosage, eg, patients with renal impairment or in patients undergoing hemodialysis.
You must carefully follow the doses prescribed by your doctor.

During treatment with gabapentin is notified of occurrence of an acute inflammation of the pancreas.
