What is FLYNISE and what it is used
What is FLYNISE
FLYNISE comprises desloratadine, which is an antihistamine.

How does FLYNISE
FLYNISE is antiallergic drug that does not cause drowsiness. It helps to control allergic reactions and symptoms.

When should it use FLYNISE
FLYNISE relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by allergies such as hay fever or allergy to dust mites) in adults and adolescents 12 years and older. These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red or watery eyes.
FLYNISE be used to relieve symptoms of urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). These symptoms include itching and hives.
Relief of these symptoms lasts a full day and helps you to resume your normal daily activity and sleep.
If after seven days you do not feel better or your condition deteriorates, you should seek medical attention.

2. What you need to know before taking FLYNISE
Do not take FLYNISE
if you are allergic to desloratadine, any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in Section 6) or to loratadine.
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Fliniz if your kidney function is impaired.

Children and adolescents
Do not give this medicine to children under the age of 12 years.

Other medicines and FLYNISE
There are no known interactions between FLYNISE and other drugs.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, you have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

Fliniz with food, drinks and alcohol
Fliniz can be taken with or without food.
Be careful if you are taking FLYNISE and alcohol.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding is not recommended to take Fliniz.

Fertility
There are no data on fertility in male / female.

Driving and using machines
Do not expect this medicine used at the recommended dose to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Although most people do not experience drowsiness, it is recommended not to perform activities requiring mental alertness, such as driving or operating machinery until they determine what effect you have on the medicinal product.

3. How to take FLYNISE
Always take this medicine exactly as you have been told by your doctor or pharmacist. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults and adolescents 12 years and older
The recommended dose is one tablet once a day with water, with or without food.
This medicine is for oral (by mouth).
Swallow the tablet whole.
Regarding the duration of treatment, your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you are suffering and depending on will determine how long you should take FLYNISE
If you suffer from intermittent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for less than 4 days per week or for less than 4 weeks), your doctor will recommend a regimen consistent with the data on the course of your disease.
If you suffer from persistent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for 4 days or more per week and for more than 4 weeks), your doctor may recommend a longer treatment.
In urticaria the duration of treatment may be different for each patient, and therefore should follow the instructions of your doctor.
If after seven days you do not feel better or your condition deteriorates, you should seek medical attention.
You should not take Fliniz more than 3 consecutive months, unless your doctor has recommended.

If you take more than the amount FLYNISE
Always take this medicine exactly as you have been told by your doctor or pharmacist. In case of accidental overdose, do not expect serious problems. However, if you take a higher dose than prescribed Fliniz you, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

If you forget to take FLYNISE
If you forget to take your dose on time, take it as soon as possible, then go to your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up the missed dose.

If you stop taking FLYNISE
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
During the marketing of desloratadine are rarely reported severe allergic reactions (difficulty in breathing, wheezing, itching, hives and swelling). If you notice any of these serious side effects, stop taking the drug and seek immediate medical advice.
In clinical studies in adults, side effects are the same as with placebo. However, adverse events reported more frequently than with placebo were fatigue, dry mouth and headache. In adolescents, the most commonly reported adverse reaction was headache.

In clinical trials with desloratadine were reported the following adverse reactions:
Common: these effects may affect up to 1 in 10 people:
fatigue;
dry mouth;
headache.
Adults
During the marketing of desloratadine were reported the following adverse reactions:
Very rare: these effects may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people:
severe allergic reactions;
increased heart rate;
vomiting;
dizziness;
muscle pain;
restlessness with increased physical activity;
rash;
stomach ache;
upset stomach;
drowsiness;
hallucinations;
inflammation of the liver;
palpitations or irregular heartbeat;
nausea;
diarrhea;
insomnia;
seizures;
deviation in liver function tests.
Not known: from the available data can not be estimated frequency:
unusual weakness;
yellowing of the skin and / or eyes;
increased skin sensitivity to sunlight, even in cloudy weather and to UV (ultraviolet) light, for example to UV light in the solarium;
changes in heart rhythm.

5. How to store FLYNISE
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton bottle label and blister after "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
If you notice changes in the appearance of the tablets, tell your pharmacist.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

6. Contents of the pack and other information
What FLYNISE
The active substance is desloratadine. Each tablet contains 5 mg desloratadine.

Other ingredients are:
Tablet core: cellulose, microcrystalline; Corn starch (pregelatinized), mannitol, talc, magnesium stearate;
Tablet coating: hypromellose 6cP, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 6000, indigo carmine aluminum lake (E132).
Fliniz looks like and contents of the pack
Blue colored, round, with a diameter of 6 mm, biconvex film-coated tablet with "LT" engraved on one side.

FLYNISE 5 mg tablets are packed in:
Blisters: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, 15, 20, 21, 30, 50, 70, 90 or 100 tablets.
Plastic bottles containing desiccant and closed with a plastic cap with a protective ring 30 or 100 tablets.
Do not swallow the desiccant.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
