FLUIMUCIL 200 mg. 20 sachets
FLUIMUCIL belongs to a group of mucolytics. Applies to secretolytic therapy in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lung related disorders in the formation and transport of bronchial secretions, such as acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and its complications, pulmonary emphysema, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE FLUIMUCIL
Do not take FLUIMUCIL,
- If you have a known hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any of the excipients.
- If you suffer from phenylketonuria as FLUIMUCIL contains aspartame.
- If you have an active ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
- If you suffer from asthma.
Under 2 years of age only vital signs after close monitoring by a doctor.
Take special care with FLUIMUCIL
Patients suffering from bronchial asthma should be carefully monitored during treatment: if a bronchospasm, treatment must be discontinued immediately.
The drug should be used with caution by the elderly with respiratory failure.
If a large amount liquefy secretions, especially in young children and still sick
patients are likely to aspiration of mucus.
Acetylcysteine should not be taken by patients with reduced ability to cough,
unless during treatment do not be applied aspiration.
As the product contains fructose, which is a metabolite of sorbitol, the product should not be taken by patients suffering from hereditary fructose intolerance.
Taking / using other medicines
Acetylcysteine increases the concentration of cefuroxime in bronchial secretions.
When using a drug with anti-cough can occur retention of mucus as a result of reduced cough reflex.
In the literature are not described cases of interaction of other drugs with oral acetylcysteine.
It is recommended not to mix other drugs with FLUIMUCIL granules for oral solution.
Oral antibiotics should not coincide with Fluimutsil. We need a minimum interval of two hours between doses.
Pregnancy and lactation
Although studies FLUIMUCIL on animals revealed no teratogenic effect, treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be done, as well as all other drugs only when strictly necessary and under direct medical supervision.

3. HOW TO TAKE FLUIMUCIL?
Adults and children over 14 - years:
1 sachet FLUIMUTSIL 200 mg granules for oral solution, 3 times daily.
From 7 to 14 years old
1 sachet FLUIMUTSIL 200 mg granules for oral solution, 1-2 times a day.
The duration of treatment is from 5 to 10 days for acute conditions and within a few (1-2) months in chronic conditions (CF).
Dosage in Cystic Fibrosis:
Adults - 800 mg,
Children - up to 600 mg daily.
Be taken after meals. Mucolytic effect is enhanced when fluid intake. Dissolve the contents of the sachet in small amount of water and mix with a spoon. The resulting solution is ready for use.
If you take more than the amount FLUIMUCIL
Upon oral administration, there were no particular signs or symptoms, even in patients treated with high doses of acetylcysteine. If necessary, make bronhoaspiratsiya. Overdose are not known.
If you forget to take FLUIMUCIL
If you forget to take one sachet, continue with the next dose as usual.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Oral administration of the product may in some cases be followed by nausea and vomiting, and in rare cases of hypersensitivity reactions such as urticaria, pruritus, tachycardia, drop in blood pressure, bronchospasm.
