FERRO FOLGAMMA. 100 capsules
Therapy with iron, folic acid and vitamin B12.
Ferro-Folgamma be used in combined states of iron deficiency, folic acid and vitamin B12 with different backgrounds.
Deficiency of folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron can occur as a result of blood loss (bleeding from the stomach, intestines and bladder, hemorrhoids, menstruation, childbirth), during pregnancy and lactation (maternal and child), insufficient or poor nutrition, chronic alcohol abuse, interference with the absorption, continuous hemodialysis, and as a consequence of therapy with anticonvulsant medications and oral contraceptives.
A deficiency of folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron can manifest as anemia, polyneuropathy, megaloblastic anemia, neurological and psychological disorders, changes in the mucous membranes, Funicular mieloza, fatigue, pallor, tingling in hands and feet, and decreased physical endurance.
2. What you should consider before taking Ferro-Folgamma?
Do not take Ferro-Folgamma:
in the accumulation of iron in the body (hemochromatosis, chronic hemolysis) and metabolic disorders of iron (sideroahrestichni anemia, lead anemia, thalassemia). Is contraindicated in megaloblastic anemia due to deficiency of vitamin B 12 only (eg. Due to lack of intrizing factor) deficiency only and folic acid;
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to vitamin B12, folic acid, iron (II) -sulfate, soybeans, peanuts, or any of the other ingredients (excipients).
Particular attention when taking Ferro-Folgamma necessary at:
The medicinal product is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Interactions with other medicinal products
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using or have recently adopted / implemented other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Iron salts reduce the absorption of tetracyclines, penicillamine, levodopa and methyldopa;
Iron salts interfere with absorption of quinolone antibiotics (eg. Ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin);
Iron salts reduce the absorption of thyroxine in patients undergoing replacement therapy with thyroxine;
The absorption of iron can be reduced with concomitant cholestyramine, antacids (Ca ++, Mg ++, Al ++ - salts), and calcium and magnesium-containing medicinal products intended to replenish calcium and magnesium deficiency;
Concomitant administration of iron salts with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents can enhance the irritating effect of the iron on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract;
Zhelyazosvarzvashtite substances such as phosphates, phytates and oxalates, as well as milk, coffee and tea inhibit iron absorption.
Ferro-Folgamma should not be taken for 2-3 hours after application / administration of the aforementioned substances,
In antiepileptic (anticonvulsant) therapy may increase the susceptibility to seizures;
When administered at higher doses is not excluded folic acid and concomitant foil antagonists such. chemotherapeutic agents and cytotoxic drugs to suppress their mutual action;
High doses of folic acid, co-administered with fluorouracil, can cause severe diarrhea;
Chloramphenicol may be reduced by treatment with folic acid should not be used in patients with severe manifestations of folate deficiency.
Taking Ferro-Folgamma with food and drink
Ferro-Folgamma should not be taken with milk or black tea, as they decrease the absorption of iron.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
At doses up to 5 mg of folic acid daily unknown risks. During pregnancy should not be administered in high dosages. During pregnancy should not take more than one capsule Ferro-Folgamma day (due to the presence of folic acid in Ferro-Folgamma).

Driving and using machines
Ferro-Folgamma not affect your ability to drive and use machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Ferro-Folgamma
To reduce the risk of possible overdose of iron, particular attention is needed in case you apply dietetic measures or other preparations containing iron salts.
This medicinal product contains sorbitol.
Please, if you know that you have an intolerance (hypersensitivity) to certain sugars start taking Ferro-Folgamma only after you have discussed this with your doctor. Diseases, conditions leading to deficiency of folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron, may have other causes. In the event that the intake of the medicinal product does not show effect at the first symptoms should see your doctor.
3. How to take Ferro-Folgamma?
Please take Ferro-Folgamma always exactly as directed by your doctor and patient information.
Refer questions to your doctor or pharmacist if you are something you are not sure.
In case your doctor advises otherwise, the usual doses are:
Adults: 3 times daily 1-2 capsules;
Children over 12 years: 3 times daily 1 capsule.
Method of administration
Please take the capsules after meals with some liquid.
Duration of administration
The duration of administration depends on the course of the underlying disease.
Please ask your doctor about it!
If you take more dose Ferro-Folgamma
Ephemeral overdose is generally not serious. If symptoms appear, please contact your doctor.
If you forget to take Ferro-Folgamma
Do not take a double dose to make up the missed dose.
Continue taking Ferro-Folgamma as before, at the usual time, and strive in the future to maintain a regular intake.
If you stop taking Ferro-Folgamma
To achieve therapeutic effect, Ferro-Folgamma should not be taken as regularly. If you stop or wish to stop treatment prematurely, please talk about it with your doctor.

4. Possible side effects
As with all drugs, Ferro-Folgamma can cause side effects, although not every patient receiving them.
In assessing the adverse reactions following data are used for the frequency of their occurrence:
Very common: more than 1 in 10 treated;
Common: less than 1 in 10 but more than 1 in 100;
Uncommon: less than 1 in 100 but more than 1 in 1,000;
Rare: less than 1 in 1,000, but more than 1 in 10,000 treated;
Very rare: less than 1 in 10 000 treated, incl. isolated cases.
Compounds of iron have local irritation, and therefore could lead to gastrointestinal disorders, or constipation.
In rare cases may occur allergic reactions, such as erythema, pruritus, bronchospasm or anaphylactic shock.
Note: Dark colored stools are not disturbing. Benzidinovata sample will be positive.
At high doses are rarely gastrointestinal disturbances, sleep disturbances, irritability, depression.
For parenteral administration or very rarely, acne, eczematous or urticarial reactions and also anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions.
Soy lecithin may cause allergic reactions in very rare cases.

5. How should I store Ferro-Folgamma
The expiry date is printed on the blister and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not use Ferro-Folgamma after this date!
Medicinal product to be stored out of the reach of children.
Store in a place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature below 25 C.

Active Ingredients: ferrous sulfate, dried - 100 mg (corresponding to 37 mg of iron) Folic acid - 5 mg, Tsiankobalamin - 0,01 mg (10 micrograms).
Excipients: ascorbic acid, soy lecithin, sorbitol, glycerol 85%, ethyl vanillin, coloring agent E 172, tallow, rapeseed oil, gelatin.
