What is FENISTIL
FENISTIL belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. They are also used for the relief of allergic symptoms such as skin rash, pruritus, hay fever, or other forms of allergic rhinitis.
FENISTIL blocking the action of histamine - a substance secreted in the body during an allergic reaction. It relieves itching and inflammation in skin rashes, reduces swelling and relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as runny nose, irritation, itchy nose, and itchy eyes.
What used FENISTIL
FENISTIL is used to treat the following indications:
allergic skin rashes and itching of various origins: eczema, dermatitis (skin inflammation), insect stings, itching caused by chickenpox, urticaria (hives);
allergic rhinitis, hay fever and other forms of allergic rhinitis (including allergic to house dust, animal hair, feathers, etc.);
drug and food allergy.
Your doctor may prescribe FENISTIL and prevention of allergic reactions during desenzibilizirashta therapy.
2. BEFORE YOU USE FENISTIL
Do not use FENISTIL:
if you are allergic to dimetindenov maleate or any of the other ingredients of FENISTIL (see pt. 6 of this leaflet);
in children under the age of 1 month, especially premature.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist in these cases because FENISTIL is not suitable for you in these circumstances.
Take special care with FENISTIL
difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland;
Inform your doctor before taking FENISTIL if you have any of the above diseases.
Using other medicines
You should not take FENISTIL except by prescription if you are taking any of the following medications:
Anticholinergic agents (drugs for abdominal and stomach cramps);
sedative, tranquilizer or sleeping medicine;
anticonvulsant (a medicine for epilepsy).
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Use of FENISTIL with food and drink
Like many other antihistamines, FENISTIL can increase the influence of alcohol.
Children and adolescents
You should be aware that taking antihistamines in children and adolescents can cause irritability.
Do not give FENISTIL infants and children under 1 year without explicit prescription. not
exceed the recommended dose.
Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant, do not use FENISTIL unless prescribed by your doctor. FENISTIL not recommended during lactation.
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medications.
Driving and using machines
Like many other antihistamines, FENISTIL can cause fatigue or diminished attention in some people. In these cases, you should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
3. HOW TO TAKE FENISTIL
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Adults and children over 12 years .:
20-40 drops three times daily.
Babies from 1 month. up to 1 year. (only after consulting a doctor): 3-10 drops three times daily.
Children between 1 and H yr .: 10-15 drops three times daily.
Children between 3 and '12 .: 15-20 drops three times daily.
FENISTIL DROPS should not be exposed to high temperatures. Drug should be added to the milk in the bottle babies immediately before eating, after it has cooled. If your baby eats with a spoon, FENISTIL DROPS should be given undiluted with a spoon.
If you use more than the amount FENISTIL
In case of overdose, immediately contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use FENISTIL
If you forget a dose, take new as soon as you remember unless your next dose not remain less than two hours. In this case, skip the missed dose and continue your treatment as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, FENISTIL can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Some very rare side effects can be serious
These side effects may occur in less than 1 in 10 000 patients.
Allergic reactions, which may include the following symptoms:
swelling of the face or throat;
Tell your doctor if any of the above conditions.
Other side effects that may occur are usually mild and transient. More common side effects occur most frequently at the beginning of treatment.

gastrointestinal disturbances, nausea, dry mouth and throat.
5. HOW TO STORE FENISTIL
Keep out of reach of children.
Protect from light (keep the bottle in the carton). Do not store above 25 ° C.
FENISTIL not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required.

Active substance: dimetindenov maleate. 1 ml FENISTIL DROPS contains 1 mg dimetindenov maleate.
Excipients: disodium phosphate dodecahydrate (E339), citric acid monohydrate (EZZO), benzoic acid (E210), disodium edetate (E386), saccharin sodium (E954), propylene glycol (E1520), purified water.
