Estsitalon contains escitalopram and is used to treat depression / major depressive disorder /.

Before you take Estsitalon
 
Do not take Estsitalon
  If you are allergic to escitalopram or any of the other ingredients of Estsitalon.
  If you are taking drugs that belong to MAO inhibitors, including selegiline, moclobemide and linezolid.
 
Take special care with Estsitalon
 
Use in children and adolescents under 18 years
 
Escitalopram should not normally be used in children or adolescents under 18 years. You should know that patients under the age of 18 years are at increased risk of side effects such as suicide attempt, suicidal thoughts and hostility when they take this class of drugs. Despite this, your doctor may prescribe escitalopram in patients younger than 18 years because he / she has chosen / and that it is in the interest of the patient. Taking other medicines:

Pregnancy and lactation:

 
Pregnancy

Important information about some of the ingredients of Estsitalon
 
This medicinal product contains lactose. If your doctor tells you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking Estsitalon.
 
 
How to take Estsitalon?
 
You can take Estsitalon with or without food. Swallow the tablets with a drink of water.
 
Only 10 mg Estsitalon: If you can split the tablets into two equal halves.
 
Only 20 mg Estsitalon: If you can split the tablets in four equal parts into two equal halves.
 
Only 15 mg Estsitalon: If they can split the tablet into three equal parts.

Adults:

 
The usual dose is 10 mg once daily. The dose may be increased by your doctor to a maximum dose of 20 mg once daily.
 
Elderly:
 
The usual starting dose is 5 ml once daily. We use a lower maximum dose.
 
Children and adolescents
 
It should not be used in children and adolescents.
Duration of treatment:
 
It may take several weeks before you begin to feel better. Therefore, you should continue to take Estsitalon even take some time before you feel better.
 
Do not change the dose of your medicine before you discuss this with your doctor.
 
Keep taking the tablets for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop your treatment too soon, your symptoms may reappear. It is recommended that treatment be continued for at least 6 months after you feel well again.

What Estsitalon:

 
Each tablet Estsitalon containing 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg of the active ingredient escitalopram
 
The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica
Tablet coating: hypromellose, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide / E171 / talc
