EUCARBON. 30 tablets
EUCARBON. 30 tablets
Properties and action:
EUCARBON contains only vegetable and mineral substances, regulates the intestines and has a mild laxative effect. It can be explained by the ability of the carbon to be associated with various toxic products of metabolism that are released as a result of the laxative action of senna leaf extract and rhubarb. EUCARBON also acts mild disinfectant on the gastrointestinal tract. Slight laxative effect of EUCARBON begins 8-10 hours after its adoption.
Constipation, especially accompanied by complaints of cramps, bloating, increased flatulence and sluggishness.
Route of administration and dosage:
EUCARBON tablets should be taken with plenty of fluid, unless otherwise specified, to respect the right dosage.
Adults and children over 12 years:
1-2 tablets 3 times daily with meals or after to achieve a mild laxative effect and reduce swelling. If you are looking for a strong laxative effect, the evening dose can be increased to 3-4 tablets.
Maximum daily doses:
8 tablets intensive cleansing and removal of gas from the gastro-intestinal tract (napr.predi contrast x-rays) 2 x 3 x 3 or 2 (= 6) tablets - in order to achieve a laxative.
During pregnancy and lactation should be consulted with your doctor before starting use of EUCARBON. Not recommended for use during the first three months of pregnancy and during lactation.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, intestinal obstruction, intestinal inflammation and abdominal pain of unknown origin, suspected ulcers of the stomach and intestines, inflammation of the appendix. In these cases, consult a doctor.
Interactions with other drugs
At elevated losses of potassium (potassium deficiency) caused by EUCARBON, can enhance the effects of certain cardiac drugs (cardiac glycosides). Increased potassium losses may be increased by concomitant use of other drugs - diuretics (water) glucocorticoid hormones.
Diarrhoea is a sure sign of overdose. In this case, the preparation should be discontinued and seek medical advice.
Admission to the recommended dose rarely observed adverse reactions. There are individual cases of abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting rarely - they can be a sign of excess dosage. Upon receiving high-dose long time may lead to a loss of electrolytes (especially potassium), which expresses a muscle weakness and increased constipation. Sometimes it may be a slight yellow or red colored urine, which is not clinically relevant.
Special warnings and precautions for use
Dose required for stable operation can be individually different. Occurrence of diarrhea (diarrhea) is a sign of overdose. Chronic administration of EUCARBON should be avoided. With prolonged use may result in a weakening effect. Chronic use can lead to increased constipation, decreased tone of the colon and water-electrolyte disturbances (decreased potassium levels in the blood). Not recommended to EUCARBON in patients with HEMORRHOIDS (risk of haemorrhage), gout or oxalate kidney stones due to the rhubarb. EUCARBON should not be used as a means to lose weight. If after taking the drug symptoms persist or condition worsens, contact your doctor for advice.
