What Esobel and what it is used?

Esobel contains the active ingredient escitalopram and is used to treat depression and anxiety disorders / as panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder and obsessive ideas /.
Escitalopram belongs to a group of antidepressants called selective serotonin re-uptake of serotonin. These drugs act on the serotonin system in the brain, increasing serotonin levels. Disturbances of serotonin system is considered an important factor in the development of depression and related disorders.

Before taking Esobel:

Do not take Esobel:
 If you are allergic to escitalopram or any of the excipients in the formulation of Esobel.
 If you are taking other medicines for treating depression or anxiety disorder called "non-selective monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
Take special care with Esobel:
In particular, tell your doctor:
If you have epilepsy. Treatment should be discontinued if seizures occur or seizure frequency increase;
 If you suffer from liver disease or kidney disease. Your doctor may decide that you need to adjust your dose;

Use of Esobel with food and drink

Pregnancy and lactation:

How to take Esobel?

Adults:
Depression
Esobel recommended dose is 10 mg per day. The dose may be increased by your doctor to a maximum of 20 mg daily.

Panic disorder:

The starting dose is 5 mg per day during the first week of treatment and then increased to 10 mg. Depending on your response to the medication, the dose may be increased by your doctor to a maximum of 20 mg daily.

Social anxiety disorder:

Esobel recommended dose is 10 mg per day. Depending on your response to the medicine, the dose may be reduced to 5 mg daily or to be increased by your doctor to a maximum of 20 mg daily.
