WHAT EQUORAL 50 mg capsules, soft AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR ?

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Immunosuppressants
The active ingredient of 50 mg capsules EQUORAL soft is cyclosporine . EQUORAL 50 mg capsules , soft inhibit primary immune response of the body to the foreign transplanted tissues and thus allows them to survive . Moreover , it has beneficial effects in diseases induced by an excessive production of antibodies against the body's own cells and tissues ( autoimmune diseases ) .
EQUORAL 50 mg capsules , soft is used for the prophylaxis and treatment of organ transplant rejection ( kidney, liver, heart , lung, pancreas and bone marrow ) and graft versus organism (graft-versus-host disease (GVHD)) following bone marrow transplantation . It is also used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases: intraocular inflammation ( uveitis endogenous ) , nephrotic syndrome ( a complex of symptoms caused by various renal diseases , manifested mainly by edema and the presence of protein in the urine ) , rheumatic inflammation of joints ( rheumatoid arthritis ) , psoriasis, and skin inflammation with allergic origin ( atopic dermatitis) .
The product can be used in adults and children over the age of three .

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SOFT

Do not take EQUORAL 50 mg capsules, soft
• If you have previously experienced symptoms of hypersensitivity to cyclosporine or any of the other ingredients ( excipients are described in section 6. The additional information

• When displaying a variety of organ transplantation (skin complaints or rheumatoid arthritis) , as should not be used in patients with impaired renal function

• If the drug is prescribed for the treatment of eczema in someone under 16 as there is no experience with EKUORAL 50 mg capsules, soft in children with eczema.

The dose of this medicine should be carefully determined by your doctor. Too high a dose can affect the kidneys. Taking other medicines

Oral contraceptives (medicines to prevent pregnancy )

• Octreotide
• Medicines to treat tuberculosis
• Medicines for gout
• Metoclopramide (used to prevent vomiting )
• Melphalan (used for the treatment of tumors or lymphomas )
• Orlistat (used for weight loss )
• Corticosteroids (used to treat conditions such as asthma , allergic conditions , inflammatory diseases including inflammatory bowel disease , adrenocortical insufficiency, and rheumatic diseases)
• Ticlopidine
• Ursodeoxycholic acid ( treatment of gallstones )
• Protease inhibitors (used for the treatment of infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV))
• Vaccines - if you have recently received a vaccination or are planning to be vaccinated , especially live vaccines should be avoided because of side effects
• Repaglinide (used for the treatment of diabetes ) .

Do not take this product with grapefruit juice . Do not drink grapefruit juice even one hour before and after taking this medicine. Use EQUORAL 50 mg capsules, soft always at the same time in relation to meals (always before meals or after meals or between meals ) .
