DESIBEL 5 mg. 20 tablets
DESIBEL is an antiallergic drug that does not cause drowsiness. It helps control your allergic reaction and its symptoms.
DESIBEL relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by allergies such as hay fever or allergy to dust mites). These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red or watery eyes.
DESIBEL be used to relieve symptoms of urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). These symptoms include itching and hives. Refinement continues all day and helps you to resume your normal daily activities and sleep.
2. What you need to know before taking DESIBEL
Desibel is intended for adults and children (over 12 years).
Do not take DESIBEL:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to desloratadine or loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Take special care with DESIBEL if your kidney function is impaired.

Other medicines and DESIBEL
There are no known interactions between DESIBEL and other drugs.
DESIBEL with food and drink
DESIBEL can be taken with or without food.
Pregnancy and lactation
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machines
The recommended dose DESIBEL not expected to cause drowsiness or worsening of attention. However, very rarely some people experience drowsiness, which may affect their ability to drive and use machines.
3. How to take DESIBEL
Always take this medicine exactly as you have been told by your doctor. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one (1) tablet daily.
Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
Duration of the course of treatment
Your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you are suffering, and depending on will determine how long you should take DESIBEL.
Intermittent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for less than 4 days per week or for less than 4 weeks). Your doctor will recommend a regimen consistent with the data on the course of your disease.
Persistent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for 4 days or more per week for up to 4 weeks). Your doctor may recommend a longer treatment.
Urticaria - may need different treatment duration and therefore you should follow your doctor's recommendations.
If you take more dose DESIBEL
If you take more dose DESIBEL, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take DESIBEL
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.
Take the missed tablet as soon as possible, then go to DESIBEL your regular dosing schedule.
If you stop taking DESIBEL
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If you get any side effects, contact your doctor. This includes all listed in this leaflet.
In this leaflet, when side effects are described as "common" this means that they have been reported in more than 1 in every 100 patients, but less than 1 in every 10 patients.
When side effects are described as "uncommon", this means that they were reported in more than 1 in 1000 patients but less than 1 out of 100 patients.
When side effects are described as "rare", this means that they were reported in more than 1 in 10 000 patients, but less than 1 in 1000 patients.
When side effects are described as "very rare", this means that they have been reported in less than 1 in every 10,000 patients.
The most commonly observed side effects in adults are: fatigue, dry mouth and headache.
In children over 12 years, the most frequently reported adverse reaction was headache.
Very rarely, severe allergic reactions (difficulty in breathing, wheezing, itching, hives and swelling).
Cases of palpitations, rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, muscle pain, hallucinations, seizures, restlessness with increased body movement, liver inflammation and abnormal liver function tests have also been reported very rarely.
5. How to store DESIBEL
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Store in the original container.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.
6. Contents of the pack and further information
The active substance is desloratadine. Each tablet contains 5 mg of active substance.
Other ingredients are: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, talc, polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol, titanium dioxide (E171), blue aluminum lake (E132), yellow iron oxide (E172).

Blue, round, film-coated tablet with Nobel on one side, packed in blisters.
20 tablets (2 blisters x 10 film-coated tablets in blister).
30 film-coated tablets (3 blisters x 10 film-coated tablets in blister).
