What is Clotrimazole Cream is and what it is used
Clotrimazole cream used for topical treatment of fungal infections of the skin, mucous membrane of the vulva and the head of the male penis .
Treatment of tinea of the hands , feet, calves and thighs .
Treatment of pityriasis verzikolor (pityriasis versicolor).

The active substance is clotrimazole Clotrimazole cream . Clotrimazole belongs to the group of medicines called imidazole derivatives , and is characterized by a broad spectrum of antifungal and antimicrobial activity , by killing or inhibiting the growth of microorganisms causing the infection .

2 . What you should know before using Clotrimazole Cream
Do not use Clotrimazole cream
If you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in Section 6).
Warnings and Precautions
not recommended to cream near eyes ;
all infected areas should be treated at the same time .
When used together with latex contraceptives (such as condoms and diaphragms) Clotrimazole cream could harm them . Consequently, the effectiveness of such contraceptives can be reduced .
Therefore , you should use alternative precautions for at least five days after administration of clotrimazole cream.

Other medicines and Clotrimazole
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken or might take other medicines.

Pregnancy and lactation
Clotrimazole cream can be used during pregnancy or lactation only if the physician considers that the benefits to mother and child outweigh the potential risk.

Driving and using machines
Clotrimazole cream will not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

Important information about some of the ingredients of clotrimazole cream
Clotrimazole cream contains cetostearyl alcohol , which may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis) .

3 . How to use Clotrimazole cream
A thin layer of ointment is applied Clotrimazole with lightly rubbing the affected areas of the skin or mucous membrane 2 to 3 times daily for 2 to 4 weeks.
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor tells you . If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Tell your doctor if no improvement in symptoms after 4 weeks of treatment.

If you use more than the amount of Clotrimazole cream
Unlikely to experience any problems with overdose of this medicine.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you apply (another person apply ) more than the amount of Clotrimazole cream.

If you forget to use Clotrimazole cream
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

4 . Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them .
Some people may be allergic to Clotrimazole cream. If you are allergic , the reaction will occur soon after application of the cream. If an allergic reaction, stop use of clotrimazole cream and tell your doctor immediately .
Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include:
rash ;
trouble swallowing or breathing ;
swelling of the lips , face, throat or tongue ;
weakness, dizziness or fatigue ;
nausea .
Very rarely with the use of clotrimazole cream may experience the following side effects:
allergic reactions;
rash, itching;
blistering , peeling , discomfort / pain, stinging / burning , swelling, irritation .
If you get any side effects, tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes all listed in this leaflet .

5 . How to store Clotrimazole cream
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not store above 25 ° C. Do not freeze .
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required . These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does Clotrimazole 1% cream
The active substance is Clotrimazole . One gram Clotrimazole 1% ointment contains 10 mg of active substance .
Other ingredients are: sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, tsetatseum , cetostearyl alcohol , octyldodecanol , benzyl alcohol and purified water.
