What Choriomon 5000 IU and what it is used
Choriomon 5000 IU powder and solvent for solution for injection
Each vial contains Choriomon 5000 IU active chorionic gonadotropin (gonadotrophin, chorionic), which is obtained from the urine of pregnant women. Chorionic gonadotropin hormone is very similar in structure and action of luteinizing hormone (LH), which is responsible for stimulating the ovaries at ovulation. Chorionic gonadotropin is required in the final stages of maturation of the oocyte and is normally produced by the placenta during pregnancy.

What is Choriomon 5000 IU
In women Choriomon 5000 IU is used to provide the final maturation and release of the ovum at ovulation. The most often used to induce ovulation in a fixed time in the methods of in vitro fertilization. Also applicable to the treatment of ovulation problems, since it leads to an improvement in the development of the corpus luteum after removal of the ovum from the ovary.
In men Choriomon 5,000 IU can be used to stimulate the production of sperm.

2. What you should know before using Choriomon 5000 IU
Do not use Choriomon 5000 IU:
if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
in the case of early puberty, hypertrophy, or neoplasia of the pituitary, ovarian, prostate cancer or another androgen-dependent neoplasia type, testicular tumors. In the presence of other endocrine pathologies (eg. Hypothyroidism, a deficiency of adrenal cortex, hyperprolactinemia) must first establish the appropriate therapy;
in primary ovarian or testicular failure, lack of uterus, early menopause, clogged pipes (unless the patient is included in assisted reproduction programs);
thrombophlebitis in active phase;
with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Warnings and Precautions
In the case of precocious puberty due to androgen induction therapy Choriomon 5000 IU should be immediately discontinued. Since androgens may cause fluid retention, horiongodanodotropinat should be used with caution in patients with epilepsy, asthma, heart or kidney disease.
Combined or sequential administration of a chorionic gonadotropin with HMG (human menopausal gonadotropin) should be carried out carefully into account the likelihood of side reactions such as ovarian enlargement, ascites, pleural reactions, thromboembolism, ruptured ovarian cysts, multiple gestations.
When athletes drug use without medical need constitutes doping and can give a positive result in doping test.
Although no evidence of viral infection when taking gonadotropin derived from human urine, the risk of transmission of known or unknown pathogens should not be completely excluded.

Pregnancy and lactation
Since the hormone is derived from human placenta, it is not contraindicated in pregnancy.

3. How to take 5000 IU Choriomon
Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Dosage and duration of treatment
Follow the prescribed dose. If you are in doubt, ask your doctor.
Choriomon 5000 IU should be injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The injectable solution prepared by mixing the solvent and the lyophilized powder was injected immediately after preparation.

Recommends the following schedule:
In women:
Primary and secondary amenorrhea and anovulatory cycles: if these conditions are caused by deficiency of pituitary gonadotropin inkretsiya or poor response to gonadotropin stimulation: 5000-10000 IU Choriomon after reaching normal estrogen levels.
Ovarian hypoplasia: 3-5 doses of 500-1000 IU Choriomon month.
Menometrorrhagia: 500-1000 IU Choriomon during the day to stop the bleeding, followed by 500 to 1,000 IU once a week to normalize the frequency of menstrual cycles.
Recurrent miscarriage: 5000 Choriomon IU every other day during the first three months of pregnancy. Then, 1000 IU every other day for 2 months.
Threatened abortion: to begin immediately with 5000 IU Choriomon to 2 times daily until disappearance of the danger of abortion. To continue with the administration of 1000 IU every three days.
Infertile due to disturbances in oogenesis, after stimulation with human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG), 24 hours after the last administration of HMG, injectable vials 1-2 Choriomon 5000 IU, to induce ovulation.

In the male:
Cryptorchidism: 250 - 500-1000 IU Choriomon 2 or 3 times a week for a period of 40 days. Repeat the course after a 30-day break.
Hypogonadism: 125-250 - 500 IU Choriomon 3 times per week.
Azoospermia, oligoastenospermia: 500 IU Choriomon through day for H - 4 months.
Asthenospermia: 1000-2000 IU Choriomon every four days for H months.

How to apply Choriomon 5000 IU
The powder was dissolved in the solvent in the package. The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after reconstitution.
Any unused product or waste material should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.
Choriomon 5000 IU should be introduced slowly into a muscle or under the skin. Subcutaneous injection site must be changed to avoid fatty atrophy.
Subcutaneous injections may be administered by the patient, provided they are carried out strictly medical recommendations.

If you use more than the amount of 5,000 IU Choriomon

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Tell your doctor that you missed a dose.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Choriomon 5000 IU can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Compliance with the instructions contained in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
After adoption of the chorionic gonadotropin in women undergoing treatment to induce ovulation, it may be established multiple pregnancy or ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which can be avoided by careful monitoring during treatment. This syndrome is typically characterized by enlargement of the ovaries, with pain in the pelvic area, nausea, vomiting, weight increase, and, in severe, but rarely, with fluid retention in the abdomen and chest, as well as in serious thromboembolic complications.
Adverse reactions are ranked by frequency of occurrence as follows: Very common (> 1/10); Common (> 1/100, <1/10); Uncommon (> 1/1000, <1/100); Rare (> 1/10 000, <1/1000); very rare (<1/10 000) and unknown when it can be estimated from the available data.
Common: headache, mild ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome;
Uncommon: depression, agitation, irritability, severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, edema, fatigue;
Rare: angioneurotic edema, thromboembolism, vascular occlusion, gynecomastia, premature puberty, pain at the injection site;
Very rare: a systemic allergic reaction, allergic skin reaction.

5. How to store Choriomon 5000 IU
Keep out of reach of children!
Store at temperatures below + 25 ° C. Store in the original package.
Protect from light.
The expiry date is indicated on the packaging. This date is valid for the product in a sturdy container and properly stored.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Be used immediately after preparation.
Do not use Choriomon 5000 IU, if the solution does not seem clear.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
