What is Cavinton Forte and what it is used
Cavinton Forte is a drug for the treatment of certain diseases associated with abnormal blood flow in the brain. Cavinton Forte also be used to reduce the mental and neurological symptoms in cerebral vascular disorders, in the treatment of certain ophthalmic and otological diseases that occur on the basis of vascular disorders or to reduce their symptoms.
2 What you should know before taking Cavinton Forte
Do not take Cavinton Forte:
if you are allergic to vinpocetine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in Section 6);
during pregnancy or lactation;
Warnings and Precautions
Cavinton Forte should be used based on individual medical judgment in some heart diseases.
Children and adolescents
Use Cavinton Forte is contraindicated in children due to lack of relevant data.
Other medicines and Cavinton Forte
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take other medicines.
You should tell your doctor if you are taking a medicine containing methyl dopa (a drug that lowers blood pressure), drugs acting on the central nervous system, anticoagulants (drugs that prevent blood clots) or antiarrhythmics (medicines for disorders heart rhythm).
This drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Driving and using machines

3 How to take Cavinton Forte
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 3 times 1 tablet daily Cavinton Forte.
No dose adjustment is required in patients with renal and hepatic disease.
The tablets should be taken after meals.
If you think that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take more than you should Cavinton Forte
Talk to your doctor or visit the emergency room of the nearest hospital.
If you forget to take Cavinton Forte:
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose, because you can not replace it, but can occur overdose. Take your next dose at the usual time.
4 Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Sometimes (2.6%) may occur redness, allergic skin reactions, arrhythmias (fast or irregular heart beat), lowering blood pressure, sleep disturbances, dizziness, headache, weakness, nausea, heartburn, dry mouth.
If you get any side effects, tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes all listed in this leaflet.
5 How to store Cavinton Forte
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton after "EXP". Expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

Contents Cavinton Forte
The active substance is 10 mg of vinpocetine in each tablet.
The other ingredients are silica colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate, talc, corn starch, lactose monohydrate.
Cavinton Forte looks like and contents of pack
Cavinton Forte 10 mg tablets are white to off-white, disc-shaped, flat, with beveled edges, imprinted with "10 mg" on one side and scored on the other side. The tablets can be divided into two equal halves.
30, 45, 60 or 90 tablets are packed in PVC / aluminum blisters and folding carton.
