In very rare cases, severe skin damage (Stevens -Johnson syndrome and Lyell ) during treatment with mucolytic drugs like bromhexine . Although the precise relationship between the intake of medicines and disability is not established at the onset of skin disorders drug therapy should be discontinued immediately .

In patients with impaired renal or hepatic function should be reduced or extended dosing intervals between doses .

Other medicines and bromhexine Sopharma solution for injection

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking , have recently used or is likely to use other drugs.

There were no serious adverse interactions with other drugs bromhexine .

The concomitant use of bromhexine Sopharma solution for injection with medicines that suppress the cough , and codeine .

Concomitant use of bromhexine and antibiotics ( amoxycillin , cefuroxime , erythromycin, doxycycline ) leads to increasing the concentration of antibiotic in the lung tissue and improve its operation.

3 . How to use bromhexine  solution for injection ?

Always use bromhexine Sopharma solution for injection exactly as your doctor tells you . If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Bromhexine is administered by injection short in patients who are not able to accept the drug in the form of tablets or syrup , and as soon as switching to oral treatment .

Bromhexine  injection may be administered intramuscularly, intravenously or slowly as an intravenous infusion.

The recommended dose is:
adults:
Method of administration : subcutaneous , intravenous, or by intravenous infusion.

Intramuscular : on I ampoule ( 4 mg) deep intramuscularly for 2-3 minutes 2-3 times a day.

Intravenous administration: in 1 ampoule ( 4 mg) slowly intravenously 2-3 minutes , 2-3 times daily .

The product may be applied as intravenous infusion , along with glucose, laevulose or Ringer's solution .

In patients with impaired renal or hepatic function should be reduced
dosing or increased intervals of application of the product.

Warning:

Bromhexine  injection should not be mixed with alkaline or acid solutions , because it can obtain turbidity.
 Use in children and adolescents:

The proposed formulation of bromhexine Sofarma injection is not suitable for use in children.

If you use more than the amount of bromhexine Sopharma solution for injection

If used more than the prescribed dose , a consultation with your doctor .

If you forget to use bromhexine Sopharma solution for injection

4 . Possible side effects
