BRAVILOL WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED

The name of your medicine is Bravilol, the active ingredient is nebivololov hydrochloride. Each tablet packs nebivololov hydrochloride 5 mg.

Used for:
 The treatment of essential hypertension;
  Treatment of mild to moderate chronic heart failure in addition to the main treatment in patients over 70 years.
 

BEFORE YOU TAKE BRAVILOL

 
Do not take Bravilol:
 If you are allergic to nebivololov hydrochloride or to any of the substances entering into the composition of the tablets
  If you have impaired liver function;
  If you are pregnant or breast-feeding;
low blood pressure, poor circulation in hands and feet, very low heart rate or other heart disease.
  Heart failure that has occurred recently or has deteriorated, in case you apply intravenous medications to improve the work of the heart;
  Asthma or wheezing
 If untreated adrenal gland tumor
  Metabolic disorder, eg. diabetic ketoacidosis
Nebivolol should not be taken by children and yunoshi1
 
Take special care with Bravilol
 
Before you start taking the pills, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breast-feeding.
 
Consult your doctor if:
  You have a very slow heart rate
  You have heart disease, eg angina or other heart problems;
 Have severe disturbances in blood flow to the arms and legs, such as disease or Raynaud's syndrome, cramps and pain when walking;
 
 Have prolonged breathing problems;
 Have diabetes: niovto nebivolol does not affect blood sugar, sweating, however, which could be a sign of low blood sugar will be maintained;
  You have overactive thyroid: nebivolol may mask symptoms increased heart rate;

Important information about some of the ingredients of BRAVILOL
 
This medicinal product contains lactose. If you are informed by your doctor that you have intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before starting treatment with this medicine.
 

Taking other medicines

Please infermirayte your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those awarded without a prescription. This is especially true for the following drugs:
 Medicines known as calcium channel blockers, lowering high blood pressure or other heart problems, such as verapamil, diltiazem, amlodipine, felodipine, lacidipine, nifedipine, nicardipine, nimodipine, nitrendipin and other drugs that lower high blood pressure such as clonidine, guanfacin, moxonidine, methyldopa, rilmenidine;
 During Bravilol therapy should not be administered intravenously verapamil;
 Medicines for cardiac arrhythmias such as quinidine, hidrokvinidin, amiodarone, tsibenzolin, flecainide, disopyramide, lidocaine, mexiletine, propafenone;
 Medicines for anxiety, for example. bariturati, phenothiazines;
  Medicines for depression, for example. amitriptyline, trazodone, paraksetin, fluoxetine, thioridazine;
  Asthma, stuffy nose and some eye problems such as glaucoma, or enlargement of the pupil;
  Anesthetics: before anesthesia always inform your anesthetist that you are taking nebivolol;
 
 Medicines for acidity in your stomach - you should take nebivolol with meals and antacids - between meals;
 
 Dextromethorphan
 

HOW TO TAKE BRAVILOL

 
 Always Bravilol exactly as you told your doctor. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
 
High blood pressure / hypertension /
 
The usual dose for adults is one tablet daily. The blood pressure lowering effect was observed after 1-2 weeks. In some cases, the optimum is reached after 4 weeks.
 
The recommended starting dose in patients with impaired renal function and in patients over 65 years is 1/2 tablet daily.
 
Chronic heart failure
 
Bravilol treatment should begin with a gradual increase, as tolerated, a lower dose of 2.5 mg once daily may be increased during the 14 days of 2.5 mg nebivolol doses up to 10 mg nebivolol once daily, until the right dose for you.
 
The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg once daily / 2 tablets /.
 
Administration of the first dose Bravilol and when increasing the dose may be a sharp drop in blood pressure. Therefore, these patients should be subjected under strict medical control about two hours after the first dose of nebivolol, and increasing the dose to avoid the occurrence of a sharp drop in blood pressure.
 
The duration of treatment is determined by your doctor. Treating high blood pressure can last a lifetime, and blood pressure lowering effect was maintained with continued treatment.
 

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

 
In normal use, adverse reactions to Bravilol are mild to moderate and occurred infrequently.
 
Generally when used to treat high blood pressure may experience the following side effects - headache, dizziness, rash or itching, shortness of breath, constipation, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, swelling of the hands or feet, pain or cramps when walking blurred vision, impotence, slow heart rate or other heart complaints, difficulty swallowing, throat, nightmares.
 
In clinical trials for chronic heart failure, the following adverse drug reactions - slow heartbeat, dizziness, worsening heart failure, low blood pressure, drug intolerance, irregular heartbeat, swelling.
