if you have severe heart or kidney diseases or excretion after underlying vestibular and / or cochlear damage, if the likelihood of uncontrolled absorption in the Annex;
the outer ear canal, if tympanic membrane is perforated.
Take special care with Baneocin
If doses strongly recommended, especially in neurotrophic ulcers should pay attention to the symptoms of nephrotoxicity and / or ototoxicity due to possible absorption of active substances.
Patients with impaired hepatic and / or renal function are under increased risk. It is therefore recommended that such patients be subject to urine, blood and audiometric tests before and during intensive therapy.
Due to the potential risk of ototoxicity, caution is advised when using Baneocin ointment for the treatment of long-standing chronic otitis media.
Combined topical and systemic administration of aminoglycosides should be avoided because of the risk of cumulative toxicity.
Baneocin should not be applied to the outer ear canal if the tympanic membrane is perforated.
Uncontrolled resorption Baneocin risk of neuromuscular blockade, especially in patients with acidosis, myasthenia gravis or other neuromuscular disorders. Calcium or cholinesterase inhibitors (neostigmine) can neutralize this blockade.
For prolonged use should be given the possibility of the development of resistant microorganisms, especially fungi. In such cases, appoint appropriate treatment.
In case of allergies or superinfection should discontinue use of this medicine.
When exposed to sunlight or UV-radiation is likely manifestation of photosensitivity reactions or phototoxicity.

Using other medicines
If the active substances are absorbed Baneocin, concomitant use of cephalosporins and other aminoglycoside antibiotics can enhance nephrotoxicity.
Co-administered with diuretics such as furosemide or ethacrynic acid can aggravate the symptoms of ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity.
The administration of narcotic drugs, anesthetics or muscle relaxants may increase neuromuscular blockade in the absorption of active substances of Baneocin.

Pregnancy and lactation
At risk of resorption Baneocin ointment should be considered: like all the aminoglycoside antibiotics neomycin cross the placental barrier. After high doses of systemic aminoglycosides reported fetal damage the hearing aid. Therefore, this product should be used only if the potential benefit outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
