Other drugs that suppress the bone marrow. Where possible to avoid concomitant administration of cytostatic drugs or products that may have myelosuppressive ;
Cimetidine (a medicine for stomach problems ) and indomethacin ( an anti-inflammatory analgesic ) . It is believed that the concomitant use of azathioprine, and any of these drugs can enhance the effect of suppression of bone marrow ;
Furosemide ( diuretic) ;
Live vaccines . Co -administered with azathioprine can cause atypical and potentially dangerous response of the organism.
Since there is in vitro evidence that aminosalicylic acid derivatives (such as olsalazine , mesalazine or sulfasalazine ) inhibit TPMT enzyme , they should be used with caution in patients receiving concomitant therapy with azathioprine .

Neoplasms benign, malignant and unspecified (including cysts and polyps ):
Rare neoplasms, including Hodgkin's lymphoma , skin cancer ( melanoma and other types of skin cancer ) , sarcomas ( Kaposi's , and others. Kaposi ) in situ and cervical cancer , acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplasia, sometimes in conjunction with a chromosomal aberration ( see . 4.4) .
The risk of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and other malignancies, particularly of skin cancer ( melanoma and other skin cancers ) , sarcomas (Kaposi and others. Kaposi ) and in situ cervical cancer is higher in patients treated with immunosuppressants in particular this applies to post-transplant patients undergoing aggressive treatment , and in this case should be used at the lowest effective doses. Increased risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphomas in immunosuppressed patients with rheumatoid arthritis compared with the general population , it seems at least partly related to the natural course of the disease.
