Antistenokardin WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
Antistenokardin dipyridamole contains an active substance belonging to the group of medicines called antithrombotic. It alters the properties of the platelets, which normally are responsible for blood clotting. Antistenokardin is used to prevent the formation of blood clots, alone or in combination with aspirin (ASA) to patients receiving anticoagulant (anticlotting) after valve prosthesis therapy, coronary heart disease (impaired blood supply to the heart muscle), cerebrovascular disease, and then heart surgeries - coronary artery bypass surgery.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE antistenokardin
Do not take antistenokardin:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the ingredients of the product;
If you have proven severe generalized koronaroskleroza (sclerosis of the vessels of the heart), myocardial infarction (heart attack) in the acute stage.
Take special care with antistenokardin
if you have established heart disease - angina;
if you have recently had a heart attack;
if you have impaired blood circulation to the heart, low blood pressure or other heart problems;
if you have a myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness);
if you have a serious disease associated with bleeding or bleeding tendency;
if you plan on handling that can affect your tendency to bleed.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Treatment may be affected if you are taking concomitant medications to lower blood pressure, anti-coagulants (acenocoumarol, aspirin, heparin), anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, indomethacin, piroxicam), drugs to treat muscle weakness (cholinesterase inhibitors), fludarabine (antitumor drug), drugs that reduce stomach acid (antacids), theophylline, aminophylline, caffeine. If you receive adenosine, tell your doctor that you are taking antistenokardin.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. Not recommended for use of the product during pregnancy and lactation, except when the expected therapeutic effect outweighs the potential risk.
Driving and using machines
Antistenokardin not affect alertness and can be applied to drivers and machine operators.
Important information about some of the ingredients of antistenokardin
This product contains as excipients lactose and sucrose. If your doctor told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
The composition of the product is included wheat starch. Suitable for people with celiac disease (gluten enteropathy). Patients with wheat allergy (different from celiac disease) should not take this product.
The composition of the product contained colors E110 and E122, which can cause allergic reactions.
3. HOW TO TAKE antistenokardin
Always take antistenokardin exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The tablets are taken orally before meals.
Dosage and duration of treatment is determined depending on what symptoms treated.
The recommended adult dose is 2-3 tablets 3-4 times daily.
In combination with acetylsalicylic acid, the dose is 2 tablets 3 times a day.
Antistenokardin use is not recommended in children.
If you take more dose antistenokardin
Symptoms of overdose are due to hypotension (blood pressure lowering). It can be any of the following symptoms: hot flushes, flushing, sweating, restlessness, feeling of weakness, angina pain. In such cases, consult a doctor!
If you forget to take antistenokardin
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If almost time for your next dose, take it as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Continue taking your medicine as prescribed.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, antistenokardin can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Often at the beginning of treatment may occur: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, vertigo, headache, muscle aches. In most cases, these side effects are mild and disappear gradually as your body gets used to taking the drug. More rarely are possible: hot flushes, decreased blood pressure, rash, difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, in some cases, chest pain or worsening symptoms of angina, cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat). In some patients, increases the tendency to form gallstones. Very rarely it is possible to reduce the number of platelets.

5. HOW TO STORE antistenokardin
Store in original container, protected from light place, at temperatures below 25 ° C.
Keep out of reach of children.
Antistenokardin not use after the expiry date stated on the pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does antistenokardin
The active substance is dipyridamole 25 mg per tablet.
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate; wheat starch; silica colloidal anhydrous; cellulose, microcrystalline; gelatin; magnesium stearate; talc, crospovidone.
The composition of said wound coverage: talc, titanium dioxide, sucrose, gelatin, gum arabic, a colorant opaluks red (E110, E122), macrogol, glycerol.
