What is the active ingredient ?
1 tablet contains 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.
What else Ambro tablets contain ?
Calcium hydrogen phosphate , lactose, magnesium stearate , corn starch , sodium poly ( O - carboxymethyl) starch , silicon dioxide .
Ambro should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient ambroxol or one of the other ingredients of the formulation. In which case you can use Ambro tablets only after consulting a doctor ? Under certain conditions Ambro ® should be used only after consultation with a doctor and only special attention. Please consult your doctor. This also applies if you have previously suffered from any of these diseases. If you suffer from impaired renal function or hepatic disease , the product must be used with special care (eg longer intervals between doses or at a reduced dose). In case of severe bronchial disease associated with excessive secretion retention ( eg . ciliary malignant syndrome) , Ambra ® should be used with special care , eg . at follow-up by a doctor because of the possibility of retention of secretion.
Other products that interfere with the effect of Ambro tablets or can be influenced by the preparation?
Please note that this information may also apply to newly enacted drugs. Products for the treatment of bacterial infections (antibiotics ) Coadministration of ambergris and substances having an antibacterial effect ( amoxicillin , cefuroxime, doxycycline and erythromycin) can lead to enhanced antibiotic penetrates into the lung tissue .
Products cough suppressants ( antitussives ) In case of concomitant products , cough suppressants , liquefied by Ambra ® secretion can not be coughed well due to decreased cough reflex and may cause dangerous retention of secretion. Therefore, please consult with your doctor before supplementation of such medicine.
What foods and spices you should avoid ?
There is no evidence for a need to avoid certain foods and spices while taking the drug.
What should I take into account children with use of Ambro tablets ?
Due to the high content of active ingredient ambergris is not suitable for children under 6 years. Therefore, in this group were administered ambergris solution with a lower concentration of the active ingredient.
What special precautions should be taken during pregnancy and lactation ?
Until now there is not enough data regarding the use of ambergris during pregnancy and lactation . Therefore, the product should not be taken during pregnancy and lactation without assessing the doctor that it is absolutely necessary .
What to be aware when driving or operating machinery or insecure (eg climbing stairs ) ?
No evidence of impaired driving or operating machines during treatment with Ambro . Dosage , route and duration of administration : Unless otherwise prescribed by Ambro than your doctor recommended after dosage. Please adhere to the instructions for use , as otherwise Ambro will not work correctly.
How much and how often you can take Ambro tablets ?
Adults and children over 12 years - 1 tablet 3 times daily for the first 2-3 days ( 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride 3 times a day) , then 1 tablet 2 times daily ( 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride 2 times daily). Children 6 -12 years - 1/2 tablet 2-3 times a day ( 15 mg ambroxol hydrochloride 2-3 times daily).
If you suffer from impaired renal function or hepatic disease , dosing intervals of ambergris should be extended or the dose reduced .
When and how you can take Ambro tablets ?
The tablets should be swallowed and not chewed , with sufficient liquid ( eg water, tea or juice) after meals.
The effect of ambergris is enhanced by fluid intake .
How long can you take Ambro tablets ?
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease and the check is determined by the attending physician . You should not take more than ambergris 4-5 days without prescription.
What should I do if Ambro tablets was adopted in very large quantities ( intentional or unintentional overdose ) ?
There were no signs of toxicity in overdose with ambroxol . Reported were transient anxiety and diarrhea. In extreme overdose can occur drop in blood pressure , vomiting , increased salivation and nausea. Please consult your doctor. Not shown urgent measures , such as emesis and gastric lavage.
What should you do if you take more than the prescribed dose Ambro ® tablets or you forget to take the product ?
If you have forgotten to take Ambro or you take a smaller dose , then continue in the coming days in the prescribed dosage. What you should know if you have discontinued or have it terminated prematurely ? Please consult your doctor before you stopped or advance after your treatment.
What side effects can cause the application of Ambro tablets ?
Rarely occur gastrointestinal symptoms ( eg abdominal pain, constipation, nausea) , and allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing, facial swelling, skin rash , itching, redness , fever with fever. Rarely after administration of ambergris ® may arise difficulty urinating , increased nasal discharge , excessive salivation and dry mouth and respiratory tract. In individual cases can be observed sudden hypersensitivity reactions associated with severe circulatory disorders ( anaphylactic shock) . In these cases should immediately be called doctor. Reported was a case of allergic contact dermatitis (skin inflammation ) . If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
What measures should be taken in relation to the side effects ?
Upon occurrence of the first symptoms of hypersensitivity reactions intake Ambra ® should be discontinued . Please tell your doctor so that he can assess their severity and the need for appropriate measures.
Storage Instructions :
The shelf-life of the drug is printed on the packaging . Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
