Aspetax Adipharm is intended for the symptomatic treatment of colds with fever and mild to moderate pain, neuralgia, toothache, migraine. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory agent in rheumatoid arthritis, neuritis and polyneuritis.

What Aspetax Adipharm and what it is used
Aspetax Adipharm is intended for the symptomatic treatment of colds with fever and mild to moderate pain, neuralgia, toothache, migraine. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory agent in rheumatoid arthritis, neuritis and polyneuritis. Aspetax Adipharm has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

2. What you should know before taking Aspetax Adipharm
Do not take Aspetax Adipharm:
If you have active ulcers of the stomach or duodenum;
if you have abnormal bleeding disorder;
If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to aspirin or to any of the excipients;
if you have a history of hypersensitivity reaction to salicylates or other NSAIDs with an asthma attack or similar attacks;
if you are taking concomitant methotrexate at doses of 15 mg or more per week;
during the first and last trimester of pregnancy;
in children under 16 years of age.
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Aspetax Adipharm.
if you are currently being treated with anticoagulants;
if you have a stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding;
if you have impaired liver or kidney function;
if you are hypersensitive to other anti-inflammatory or antirheumatic drugs or other allergens;
Acetylsalicylic acid can cause bronchospasm and induce asthma attack or other hypersensitivity reactions. Risk factors include pre-existing bronchial asthma, hay fever, nasal polyps or chronic lung disease;
This applies also for patients with allergic reactions (e.g., skin reactions, pruritus, urticaria) to other substances;
Before surgery (including minor surgery, such as tooth extraction) bleeding time may be prolonged. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist that you are Aspetax Adipharm;
In the low-dose acetylsalicylic acid reduces the excretion of uric acid. This may result in gout patients with a tendency to lower uric acid excretion.
Children and adolescents
Application of Aspetax Adipharm in children and adolescents can be done only under medical supervision. In children and adolescents below 16 years of age with febrile illness (disease occurs at a very high temperature) Aspetax Adipharm can be used only after careful consideration of risks and benefits of such treatment because of the possibility of developing syndrome Reye, a rare but very serious disease;

Other medicines and Aspetax Adipharm:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take other medicines.
Concomitant use of Aspetax Adipharm with other medicinal products can strengthen or weaken their effects:

Enhanced effects, resulting in an increased risk of side effects:
Anticoagulants, eg. coumarin, heparin, acetylsalicylic acid may increase the risk of bleeding if taken before thrombolytic therapy. Therefore you should pay attention to the symptoms of internal or external bleeding (eg, after trauma) if you are subjected to such treatment;
drugs containing cortisone or cortisone substances (with the exception of products which are applied topically or cortisone used for replacement therapy in Addison's disease), alcohol consumption, or increased risk of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding;
lowering drugs, blood sugar;
methotrexate (a drug for the treatment of cancer and certain rheumatic disorders);
digoxin (a medicine that increases the contraction of the heart muscle);
Other NSAIDs / analgesics Aspetax Adipharm at doses of 3 g of acetylsalicylic acid;
valproic acid (medicine to treat seizures).
Aspetax Adipharm weakens the effect of:
diuretics (drugs that increase the excretion of urine) and Aspetax Adipharm at doses of 3 g of aspirin daily and more;
ACE inhibitors (a group of drugs that lower blood pressure) and Aspetax Adipharm at doses of 3 g of aspirin daily and more;
medicines for gout, which enhance the excretion of uric acid (probenecid, benzbromarone).
Aspetax Adipharm of food, beverages and alcohol:
When treated with Aspetax Adipharm and alcohol intake increases the risk of bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Aspetax Adipharm should not be taken during the first and last trimester of pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking Aspetax Adipharm during the second three months of pregnancy.

Salicylates pass into breast milk. Lactating women may adopt Aspetax Adipharm only under medical supervision. In regular or high doses, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Driving and using machines
No effects on ability to drive or operate machinery.

Aspetax Adipharm contains wheat starch
Due to the composition of Aspetax Adipharm of wheat starch may not be used in patients with celiac disease (an inherited disease of the small intestine, manifested by diarrhea with the use of wheat products).

3. How to take Aspetax Adipharm
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as you told your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

The recommended dose is:
Adults: 500 - 1000 mg of (1-2 tablets) in a single dose, repeated at intervals of 4-8 hours, but not more than 4 grams per day.

Use in children and adolescents:
Does not apply to children under 16 years except on prescription.
Do not take more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
The tablets are taken orally after meals, with plenty of fluids.

If you take more dose Aspetax Adipharm
If you take the dose more than prescribed, talk to your doctor.

If you forget to take Aspetax Adipharm
If you miss a dose, take the medicine at the next regular intake without increasing the dose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Aspetax Adipharm can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Adverse reactions are divided into groups according to the terminology of the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA) together with the corresponding frequency:
Very common: may affect more than 1 in 10 people;
Common: may affect up to 1 in 10 people;
Uncommon: may affect up to 1 in 100 people;
Rare: may affect up to 1 in 1000 people;
Very rare: may affect up to 1 in 10 000 people;
Not known (data can not be estimated).
Gastrointestinal disorders:
Abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting;
Ulcers (haematemesis, melaena) or occult gastrointestinal bleeding, which can cause iron deficiency anemia. Such hemorrhages are more common when the dose is higher;
Gastrointestinal ulcers (ulcers) and perforation;
Described Isolated cases of abnormal liver function.
Nervous system disorders:
Vertigo and tinnitus are usually characteristic of overdose.
Hematologic disorders:
Acetylsalicylic acid may be associated with an increased risk of bleeding due to the effect on platelet aggregation.
Hypersensitivity reactions:
Urticaria, skin reactions, anafilakticheski reactions, asthma, Quincke's edema.
If you notice difficulty breathing or cough, tinnitus, rash, black stools, confusion, dizziness, stomach pain - stop immediately taking Aspetax Adipharm and tell your doctor about your condition.

If you get any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. How to store Aspetax Adipharm
Store at temperatures below 25 ° C.
Keep out of reach of children!
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the blister and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

6. Contents of the pack and other information
What does Aspetax Adipharm
Active substance: acetylsalicylic acid. Each tablet contains 500 mg of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid).
The other ingredients (excipients) are: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, silica, colloidal anhydrous and talc.

The tablets are white or off-white, round and flat, scored.

The tablets are packaged in blister packs containing 10 tablets.
One pack contains 20 tablets (2 blisters) and / or 100 tablets (10 blister).
